ok, there was a small Mistake, the new Update don't had the Longtail and the "Flunder" Porsche, but now I have uploaded again
Hey Chief! Needless to say, love the mod. I'm just wondering about the tire squeal sounds for the bulk of the 70 and 71 cars, it's so loud in proportion to the other sounds and happens going in a straight line. The sound is great in some cars, like the Sunoco Ferarri, but not in most of the others. If this is something I'm overlooking on my end let me know. And keep up the great work!
Unfortunately, I also have a very extreme problem with the tires squeaking. Unfortunately, this really spoils the fun of driving. But the mod is absolutely brilliant. Hopefully you can solve the sound problem. Thanks
Yes, the tire volume is lower in 0.99 but still too loud and out of proportion to the engine sound. It also still happens in a straight line.
I am of the same opinion. It is much less, but still too clear. On the straight it must be even quieter in relation to the engine! I hope they get that right. Very good history mod!
No pressure @ChiefWiggum but what’s the chances of filling out a few more canam cars for 1970 to 73? I think it would almost complete the mod ;-)
I really like the cars, BUT the only drawback is the seating position and the resulting mirror position in VR. After adjusting the driving position correctly, the mirrors only show the sky... Maybe you don't have VR, but I can send you a screenshot so you can change the default driver position(sitting far far back from wheel) and mirror position. By the way, the same is with your F1 mod. Thanks and greetings from Germany
this was some of the last Postings on Steam........ Great mod first of all! Patch request: I have only tested 69, 71 and 72, but the virtual- and side mirrors are pointing straight up to the sky on default. If you adjust that so you can see something behind, the FOV is too far back and pitched too high. Can you fix that please? yes please fix the mirrors. its a deal breaker but during a race sure would be nice to glance at all of my mirrors and see the opponents behind me, and not the flock of geese flying overhead Hey we are ding dongs. I was unaware that if you use the shift key and the up down and left right arrows. it adjust the mirrors just as if they are power mirrors. My mistake @Chief. In the meantime I've learned this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1438005121 that should go into the introduction on how to set up cockpit somewhere. invaluable information also flip the image in the left and right mirrors. the left mirror reflects the right side of the car and right mirror reflects the left side, same for the F1 70s style
Thank you Chief for this Mod. Just a little feedback for you. I tried the 71 cars at CTMP, a track I have driven in real life and attended many races at. With the M8F, I was easily lapping the track at 1:08. The real CanAm cars were lapping at 1:16+ when I was there in 1971. My feeling is that the tires are too grippy.
Thx for this great update. The ai can handle the cars now. I was disappointed i couldn't use this mod because i played only offline and it was a crash fest for the ais especially on le grand circuit and spa 66. Now I succeed to have a 10 laps race on le grand circuit with 512 CL and 45 ai drivers with no continuous crashes from ai. Same thing with Matra on Spa 66.
I am ashamed to say that I haven't tested this mod yet... lol... a common theme recently, unfortunately, but how is the braking? Could it be a bit too competent? Also, is the track width the same as in '71? Are you riding the modern curbs or doing old school lines? That could account for a bit of the differential too.
The track width is unchanged since 71. Obviously the surface is newer. The current lap record is 1:04 in modern high downforce machinery. Braking may be a little too efficient.
