    Hello PlickBadger,

the first car for rFactor2, that does not feel like a slipping rubber bowl on the front axle...

Great work! You crazy ferrets, have hit the nail completely on the head!

I sometimes wonder if the car modders themselves are even still driving a car or just sitting in front of their PC. ;)

    Desirable options for your mx5-Mod:

    - Visor view

    - Racing tires

    - By rotating tires when racing start

    - The dormant buds to life awaken...

I am excited about this vehicle!

Thank you so much. Keep it up!

Best Regards and Cheers zoom zoom...

    Andy

You got it registered right but the component that you have at that MF link doesn't have you GetMod link in it. But on your next release you could include the URL in the component and then register the new sig in the database and it will work perfect.

You could even change the link in the current component, changing URLs will not impact the sig. The MF URL should stay the same too if the filename stays the same. But probably not worth the effort as I am sure you have a new component coming soon enough.

I didn't change anything to the car yet despite a few clicks of more toe in at the rear and less rear anti roll bar, but i have only driven the car about an hour yet. Will give it a more in depth testdrive tonight!

Hey Plick, this is something to maybe think about doing on the visual side some time in the future, but I would suggest maybe implementing some baked ambient occlusion/shadows on the textures and skins. I think it's fairly easy to generate, and it would improve the visuals of the cars quite a lot, especially the wheels and the interior.

    Just a suggestion. :)

This is a good suggestion, but the way the interior and wheel coloring is mapped, it would be a PITA to implement and beyond what I'm willing to do :)

Did an hour of testing on Mores, that track really suits this car. Great fun, default setup with just steering lock up to 40° handles great.

I did find a small graphical bug, regarding LODs. The car running in front was about 15-20 meters away, when the rear license plate "hole" in the trunk disappeared, and popped back again when i got closer.

Yep, I know about this one. The LOD mesh for the rear of the car loses some detail. I'll see what I can do.

Great car man!, I was able to bring it at several place including some funny laps at Lienz and NevaRing :) Both convertible models are great and I'm happy with the 3D model. I now understand the "close-racing" expression I read in this thread ;)

    Small remarks:

    - AI wasn't able to drive my car when Gates Shifter was selected as model. On race it can't go from gear 1 to gear 2 and stay stuck full throttle in between at neutral, on practice it didn't start and stay stuck at Neutral. It's fine with paddles selected. If it's also liveries related (a specific car) I'll confirm the car number (AFAIK it was an open top blue 8). Other cars during race was OK and made the race without me.

    - No sound when crashing against wall. I'm surprised nobody spoke about that, I'm the only one which missed a turn? (only once of course) ;)

Personal taste remarks (so pinch of salt please):

I'm sorry to say that but you will have probably lot of pressure and feedback for this car as I guess it could be the favorite one for lot of persons who are searching more fun in rF2.

Fantastic work, I really love it, thanks a bunch! :)

Great car, thanks for sharing it with us. It really feels like a true roadcar (with upgraded suspension) to me.

Just one little remark though. Speed sensitive steering seems to be on 100% even though I've set it at 0% in the controller screen. This doesn't happen with any other ISI or 3rd party car. Maybe something you can look into for the next update? I have the steeringlock set at minimum (10, due to running a wheel with only 270 degrees of lock), don't know if that's important but just mentioning.
