Awesome job man. Thanks for these!
That would be realistic. Unless it's a super expensive open wheeler with special mounts to replace the front wing, how would you attach a new bumper cover to the mounts where the old one was ripped off? There is likely to be damaged mounts, so they don't reattach parts that will fall off easily--against the rules. It would also take quite a bit of time to fiddle with and serve no functional purpose (aesthetic only), so that would also be a bad strategy to waste valuable time. I have no idea if it was intentional by the designers, but it isn't likely unrealistic.
Hello and many thanks for this car. An absolute blast for close racing action!
Two little "problems":
1. Fuel consumption is way to much! Way more than any other car in rF2. Noticed it on Targa Florio where you only reach approximately two third of the track (ca. 40km) with a full tank.
2. It would be great and more rFactor standard to convert "SPCL1" and "SPCL2" to an upgrade package which you can select in the tuning page. This upgrade package should also change the class so the opponent filter is working as usual.
Many thanks in advance! I know you can do it!
Author hasn't been around for many months...
What a pity! Anybody knows if it is allowed to update this mod or where I can reach the author?
Try PM'ing him here as the obvious starting point.
i contact him because of mirror adjustments but no awnser so maybe not active anymore. i think this mod is really a suprise i didn t expect mutch but the cockpit looks good at good size with oculus. the physics i think is great and the only critism is its to hard to recover.
When i was making the cockpit, i kept in touch with PlickBadger thru PMs here, so i really cant help about that guys
Maybe Plick is hiding out, updating the Texas Speedway track. (fingers crossed)
He could just as well have been attacked by a pack of nearby honey badgers
Could be .....................
Don't worry guys......he was online today so he's still around
Yeah, sorry for the lack of communication. I'm still around, but I'm just busy as hell with my job and barely have enough time to drive rF2, let alone work on mods . I'm hoping this will change soon though.
update as in cpm? That would be awesome as this mod is a gem.
Is this a forgotten mod? Would be a shame if true
I noticed the fuel consumption is pretty high on the Nurburgring 24H, 3.8MPG (15L per lap!) so i checked the engine.ini and added this line that seems to fix it:
I also tried the SkipBarber's regional tires, same size, it's doing good 1.5G instead of 2.7
If you have the ability to update these cars so they actually work properly in the latest build, I bet PlickBader would not mind. He gave freely of his efforts on cars and tracks, when he had the time. He clearly does not any longer.
OK but, I don't think i can do a proper update anytime soon.
pre-CPM 195-55r15 tires front and back.
I did a whole bunch of fictitious skins for the MX5 over the years, maybe 50 or so. If theres any interest I could figure out how to put them somewhere or send direct.
