SOUTH SHORE INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT - Version 1.0 South Shore International Circuit V1.0 - download Mirror 1 - download View attachment 15689 Backround of the track This track is originally my personal "sandbox", where I have tested new textures, models, modelling tricks and everything else related on rF2 modding. In some point I noticed that this would be fun track to race online, so I decided to build fully functional racetrack from it and South Shore was born. South Shore is based (very) loosely on old Brazilian track, which is nowdays demolished. The track modernized to FIA Grade 1 level with redesigned runoff areas, catchfencing and othersafety structures. Same time all track districts was redesigned and rebuild. We have now brand new pitlane with new two-floor pitbuildings and race control tower modernized media center and track offices located on end of the pitlane state-of-the-art Medical Centre with new emergency vehicles new grandstands with total 29406 permanent seats, new pedestrian fairways and new parking areas and -garages. Additional standing place / camping area is located to North-East hill on major events new VIP visitors parlours on end of the pitlane (top two floors) and 4 comfort VIP tents located on near east grandstands modern communication services and local mobile phone nodes to the spectators and VIP visitors track logistics is brought to modern time with new service roads, warehouses and waste management Track statistics GP layout - length 4.75 km / 2.95 Miles, 5 turns left, 10 turns right GT layout - length 4.5 km / 2.79 Miles, 4 turns to left, 9 turns to right Starting Grid - 28 spots Garage - 28 spots (16 two car teams) The track is provided with Light Rubber presets (rrbins) for both layouts. Look for "GPLightRubber" and GTLightRubber" sets on session settings The track is quite hard on your tires, because it contains many long fast / medium-fast corners. Tyre managment is key to succeed here, so dont burn your tires on first few laps of the race. Worn out tires will punish you several seconds per lap.... Track curbs are also quite "aggressive" to prevent cutting. Curbs will unsettle your car, if you let your tires too deep on them... The track is pretty hi-poly, memory-hungry and complex package, so (several years) older PC's might have slight performance problems. If you do suffer poor performance, reduce reflections and shadows click or two. Last resort is turn down number of visible vehicles and texture quality. Downloading here too (very slow), but for the screen posted looks like a high quality work. Thank you in advance.
Thank you Jka. Just had some great fun with the Clios on both layouts. Nice flow to track. cheers DJC
Very nice track!! And impressive graphics overall. A few reflections, shadows and texture transparency/AA issues, but nothing that should be too difficult to fix. It's very much like an F1 track from the prior generation--nice flow and not full of chicanes. A great addition to rF2.
Only positive things to say from my side. A fantastic drive in the 799 but it will fit so many car types, I have no trouble seeing this in the top 10 mod tracks. Thanks to you JKA and of course your wife and all those who helped along the way. You've gone and made several people pretty damned happy
Nice job Looks great. Excellent layout. Solid performance. Great surface detail. Many thanks to you and your family.
It's a really nice track. Am I the only one who doesn't have working pit lights saying whether the track is open/closed when practice first starts? What's weird is I pitted and went to the garage and came back and they were on.
