Been driving the latest updates this morning, and prior to that the Release Candidate, so I've had a lot of interaction with the Shift Protection update. Or I should say I HAVE NOT had a lot of interaction with the Shift Protection. I drive the same now as before, so I had to force myself to bang down through the gears to see if it works. (it does!) My questions: 1. How many of you have had to change their driving to accommodate the new Shift Protection feature? 2. How many that have indeed had to change how you shift are ONLINE vs OFFLINE users? 3, Does the BEEP annoy you?(sorry couldn't resist)
You have to rely on the normal brakes a bit more, definitely in Q. Driving is more the same though, except less engine braking because less rpms.
This feature has sent me into the barriers on more than one occasion. You learn to shift properly I guess, but it still happens.
