Yes he did, but all of his last posts were one sentence; I have no information really. So I asked him some about two hours ago. I mean; who's in control, who makes decisions, to who do I go with questions on how it should be? All that kind of stuff. If you have it in game, you could send it over to me and I can quickly attach my physics; then we can talk about it. I made the physics based on the (back than) 5-speed, but do we want all? (I think so, so I need to make more) Sounds.....where? Does it run like you would imagine? Another point that get people upset; it doesn't run idle........ It makes no sense to have an engine that deliver power from the get-go, having run 5000 rpm (like some mod from the past, I think rF1) Yes, the car makes noise standing on the grid, but those are blowers to keep everything cool. That kind of stuff; we need to talk about.
My thoughts exactly, anyway just gonna try and sort out the ambientshadow then I'll pass it over - I can still make improvements (a driver would be good ) but it won't affect what you do. Sounds - Using default, ok for effects but obviously engine is wrong. Physics - Suspension is basic RF1 pm using measurements taken from the model itself - lot's of improvement could made here but it's not hard to drive (as long as you don't soften the front), just doesn't feel that great. Engine-RF1 type 270hp (bit prone to overheating lol but ok for testing) to be replaced anyway. Gears-5spd, does the job - probably the only thing I would leave as it is. Heres a pic anyway so far:
Looks nice! What do you mean by "default"? As far as I know, this should be scratch, right? You confuse me by that default and the "basic rF1 pm" Is that from the "old" FE mod for rF1? Doesn't really matter anyway though; it all gets new
Default sounds are a set that come with rf2 - they use a .sfx file called default.sfx. By basic rf1 .pm I meant it's not a new flex chassis like RF2 uses - it's just a .pm file like rFactor uses - think it started off as the Eve F2 (ms7) one but as all the a-arms etc are modeled it was easy to get the positions from 3DSimEd and match them up.
Is this project dead? Amazed that no one has done a decent FormulaE mod yet. It would seem to me to be a match made in heaven with ForumlaE and sim racing. I would bet it would be a very popular mod to race in leagues also. But I guess that would also require the circuits to be made.
Well, I find this whole topic very confusing since I can't remember what happened back than and with who. I do know I was fed up with it. I also know that my "modding days" as in "trying to get something done for the community" is way over. Always bumped my head. Plus; I can't commit to it anymore. My physics were never appreciated and so I won't share them either. So, no; I'm not in for this.
