yeah I think alot of people are missing the point, whilst these incar effect would be GREAT I personally dont want ISI to drop everything and get them in NOW! Maybe after a few patches and updates or whatever if they have time, but not right this minute! As for arms moving to switch buttons/AR Bars/etc then that sounds like a lot of work, but if the modelling scripts are all in there maybe a community modder could actually make this happen? who knows, would be a very good mod if they could!! (Unless ISI do it of course)
ooohhhh thats a good spot thanks! quite clearly pressing a button with the right hand or maybe he's pointing at the rev lights not working
I say the same for steering wheels on screen as well. I have a very nice one in real life, Don't need two. BUT! Cockpit physics and movement are important. I spent weeks adjusting and re-adjusting to get the head-physics in cockpit low enough that I wasn't sick from the movement and yet still keeping all that visual input of hitting road bumps and power shifting. Some fuzzy dice would be awesome is what I am saying!
That isn't a proper window net; that is a triangle net used to keep your arms from flying around in a wreck. Proper window nets on the drivers window are very tightly fastened, and do not flap in the wind.
Just thought Tim, heres a WIP screenshot that cant go wrong (although I'm sure some people will find something!!), howe about a shot of the Setup Screen for one of the 1960s cars? just so we can see whats new and different and all that good stuff
Haven't posted in awhile and want to say the screenies look great! I really can't wait to get ahold of rf2
Good to hear. Make sure they understand what we loved about rF1's UI. It wasn't layed out the best but it was very minimal. The loaded car was the center of attention all the way to the root. Now for rF2 something better to organize 70+ gigs of mods would be key. Infact it is the very first thing I posted on the wishlist thread! Quote- For the UI, the ability to change it to be very utility oriented instead of the flashy modern ipod-esque shuffle view seen in the ISR ep 61. A good example would be thumbnailed tracks (maybe 20 on screen) or switch to a text only detail view with Length, Miles driven, Install date, and creator that may popup the layout if you hover over it. For cars there can also be thumbnails but in detail could be make, model, horsepower, power to weight, odometer, mod name and creator columns all sortable so if I want to see what car I drive the most I can just sort by odometer. Not everything needs to work like a damned ipod. The UI is what made me choose rFactor over just about every other sim. It just wan't built to control 100+ mods and tracks wth ease.
Maybe an obscure question but.. is there built in graphics ability to have proper chrome wheels? I remember this being an issue in some rf1 mods, where you could get silver and that was that. Chrome + sun reflecting = ..and that brings another question, are sun glare and such built in, for windshield/visors etc?
