Hello guys, i´ve been following the useful tutorial on steam "Setting up a Dedicated Server" . The only missing point i have is that i have an error message saying "Dedicated servers requires at least one othe mod besiders "All Tracks & Cars" installed I´ve check in my dedicated server folder (created, like explain in the tutorial) C:\Racing\rfactor2-dedicated\Installed\rFm There is a file called "All Tracks & Cars_10" I have few different mods in the package folder also but not in the installed Is it that files refereed or what am i missing?
Sorry for sort of resurrecting this thread from the dead, but I am unable to create a race event using the linked tutorial. I am trying to set up a dedicated server using the official Nurburgring track and the BMW C2. However, there are two folders in the installation folder for these items. Can someone please help?
If you are goinng tu use paid content, then you have to do this https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/how-to-creating-a-raceevent-with-paid-content.57207/
Thank you for the info lagg! I was able to get the content to install using ModMgr, and created the Mod using the MAS Utility, but when I connect to the server I created, I receive a "package not available" error. I tested the server with a 3rd party car and track combination prior to this (pleclair's Nurburgring and Tommy78's WTCC mod), so I know the server works okay--it just doesn't seem to want to let me use the official Studio397 content. What am I doing wrong?
I think @lagg meant to give you this link. https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/how-to-hosting-with-steamcmd-and-paid-content.57209/
Thank you guys so much, and you too Chris Elliot. I must have missed that last step about copying the BIN files, as that's all I did this morning to get the server up and running. This is one of the great things about the RF2 community: so many knowledgeable people helping other derps like myself!
Ugh, I've been trying for two weeks and every single tutorial always has a link to another tutorial that says "Before you do this, do this" but then you get to that tutorial and that one also says "make sure to do this before you do that". I mean is it possible for someone to put these in chronological order? This is just way too complicated. Very frustrated sorry.
