[SOLVED] Bahrain dedicated server does not turn to night

Discussion in 'Bug Reports' started by Deleted member 58016, Nov 25, 2022.

  1. I was not sure how to explain it in the topic / subject ...

As I like Bahrain much more at night I decided to set up a dedicated server with Bahrain and GT3 cars starting time of the race / event set to 9:30 p.m.

Everything went fine except when I join my own server from another PC the track is still at daylight / daytime.

I changed the time of the event within DS UI but that did not help - according Google Bahrain is 2 hours ahead of me, so 9:30 p.m. should be pretty dark ...

    Anyone else encountered this?

Running Bahrain in single player mode at 9:30 p.m. works fine ...

edit: just to say, I pressed "drive" and waited a couple of seconds, but nothing happens; also I deleted the mod and restarted by creating it again, but also anything changed

You can only set race time in the UI, everything else needs to be done with the player file.

  3. I have set starting time in the (tiny) dedicated server UI before clicking "load track" (so the dropdown right above that button) - or am I wrong?

player.json is set to -1 (default.rfm) for race starting time parameters.

    Or am I missing something?

As said previously you need to edit player.JSON and modify "MULTI xxx StartingTime" keys for practice, quali and warmup.
    Add minutes :
2 H in the morning is 120 minutes from midnight.
    9 H late in the evening is ( 12 + 9 ) x 60 = 1260 minutes from midnight.
The UI selector only modify race starting time.

  5. Now I got it ... thanks - was not aware of that.

And -1 is set to rfm, so you probably don't want that.
