Can you tell please, where the sky gradients are located? Are they image files, or some code in gdb files? I mean, the basic sky colour and gradient which is above the clouds.
The only way that I'm aware of to change the look of the sky gradient is by tweaking the track's location and altitude. The sky system itself is done by the code.
Yes, the sky color is all code driven based on altitude, lat/long location, time of year and time of day...
You mean, his own clouds? As probably there is no "sky texture" in rF 2 implemented in a way you know from rF 1.
As far as I discovered, the modder is able to make his own clouds. The clouds are images with alpha channel, editable But I meant the layer above - the basic colour layer.
As far as I want rF to be editable sa possible.... if sky color is done properly, then I don't see any reason to change it... but if it's not, then for sure, community will try to improve it
the sky is dynamically created based on location? If so... that is awesome!! Should give some continuity between tracks which was sorely needed!
Hi. How do you set the tracks altitude? I looked in the sample tracks gdb expecting to see a new altitude line by the lat/long line but found nothing.
I like the new sky system in general, but I think the proper cumulus will be impossible to manage. I will be missing them; my fav type of clouds.
Well, depending on how high is the sky in rF 2 and how 3d dynamic clouds can be implemented (as we don't want to stay forever with those ugly 2d flat textures wandering across the sky, do we?)
Joe and I have talked about moving to 3D clouds--a bit further down on the list, but it's something we'd like to do eventually...
