Hello, i am relatively new to skinning. Could anyone tell if its possible or not to make a chrome effect on Photoshop when painting a car?
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place i didn't know where to put the thread.

    Thanks, Sam

Chrome in reality works like mirror, I dont think you can do that in Photoshop, I think this can be done in 3d programs like 3ds Max as a material.
What you can do in Photoshop is give your texture maximum shinyness by painting Alpha chanell white.

Just like nikos says, the alpha channel is the way to go.
Find a suitable grey tone for your skin and, then in the alpha channel, colour it complete white. That way you get the desired effect. Conversely blackening the alpha will give the colour a matte effect.
