" Simkits " Instruments

I am building a Lotus "Homage" type 49 cockpit - life size from plywood with plexi screen, mirrors and an alloy dashboard :)
It's fitted with 4:1 surround, sub-woofer, Clark Gold series Tactile transducer, G-25 controls and overhead projector.
My questions is - Will there be a possibility to use outside instruments from " Simkits " with RF2

I can't answer your question but I'd love to see more of your cockpit. I compromised with one that takes the dimensions from a Type 49 but looks like an Ikea reject :(

(I currently have my old Caterham seat in mine. At least the colour (red) is right.)

Dear SS
Thanks for the comp. Mine may be 10 times better - but yours is 10 times better than one of those steel "gynecologist" gaming chairs ;)
Fit it out with a set of car speakers and an amplifier and it will surprise you :D
The only problem with mine is that it's not really that practical. At 50'ish years old and of ample tummy I'm not as fit and sylph like as Clark and Hill were in their hey-day - it's really a struggle for me getting out of the bl**dy thing :o ....... and it will be a lot worse when I put the cockpit top fairing on !
Do you still have yer Seven ? Mines just a bog standard 2.0 Zetec but it's still muuuuuuch faster than the local hot-hatchers and Evo-divas :D. "Noddy" is very naughty and disgraced a new Porkie GT3 at the lights last summer

I have the same problem - even my daily exercise of getting out of the Seven (Tillet seats and lowered floor - I have to look up to other Sevens ;)) still finds me struggling to get out of my "Lotus 49".

I've been in a 2.0 Zetec and it didn't hang around  Mine's a 2.3 Duratec which does things like spinning the rear wheels. On a dry road. In top gear. On the motorway. When already travelling at "near the National Speed Limit"

Dont know what to do now. For the sake of simplicity it will be best to do the early type with the solid top cowl(?). The little 1/4 screen will be the only problem with it's complicated shape.
Ideally I would loooooove all Plexiglass/Polycarbonate but it's just too bl**dy expensive and too complicated to mold. 3mm ply with glass cloth will have to do I think.
Does anybody know if RF2 is wired for "Surround Sound"
