Hi guys, maybe an interesting tool: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads ... x11.18007/ author: Shawn Jacobs greets timo PS: rfactor 2 must be run in windowed mode!
Out of curiosity what's wrong with windowed and vsync on? I know that vsync can cause input lag but windowed? I've been running both for a long time as I'm using simhub with Shawn's excellent overlay and I've had literally zero issues
Windowed often means lower performance (fps). But for me it's worth it as fullscreen could develop lots of problems (e.g. alt-tab).
V-Sync must to be on for make it work? Does it needs some config? I tried on windowed mode but the dashboard tells me to start the program also when I am already on road. Ok make it work but it is a mess. I don't really like it. Already disinstalled SimHub. Useless. We need only the trackmap. Let's return in DX9
I also have it working fine with v-sync off in window mode. The app is not very straight forward to use, but I have been able to set up some basic screen overlays by editing the default dashboards that come with the app, including live delta, track map, relative positions, various lap time info, oil and water temps, etc. If I took the time to learn it I could probably have 80% of what trackmap offered me. It's not perfect, but it's the best lowest performance impacting solution I have found so far.
Hello, after a bad manipulation, I wasted the lap time on my "dash". How do we get them back? Thank you
You can use simhub in some other way other than the overlay, like running it on your smartphone, you can display the trackmapping and all the info there. There is various template to use and customize, personally i do not use trackmap ( i mean the map of the track, because i know all of them ) I just use simhub with some rgb led and an arduino that work as a revlight, plus my smartphone with some telemetry of the car. so the program it's very cool and it can do a lot of things!
