After almost 10 years driving at my desk, in an office chair I am considering purchasing a Sim Cockpit. The one that I am considering is the Virtual Roadster. I am having difficulty contacting a source for this excellent looking product. I have looked at some of the other offerings, but non seem to compare in sheer elegance of design and appearance. Comments and recommendations would be appreciated.

Edit: FEB 2014... I finally did it. I took a few weekends and built the RICKMOTECH Simulator. It was finished around Christmas '13 and has been in use since that time. I do like the results. Seat was purchased new from Summit Racing. Total cost was ~ 450 USD. I am pleased with the results. I will include an image when I can successfully upload it.

I bought my VR3 from these guys a few years ago off of eBay. Contact Chris Wagner if and see if he still can get them.

I took the plunge and bought the GTOmega, and I really like it. It's pretty cheap to.

You could always make your own. I based mine on the Virtual Roadster. It's not as sleek, but it's functional and sturdy. You can do the same thing a lot cheaper by using PVC pipe.

I built my own out of random pices of wood which cost nothing, got a car seat from a local 2nd hand parts dealer for £30, on rails and fully adjustable too, also changed the gearstick on the G25 to a Fishing Rod handle to simulate a Sequential lever...all very high tech!

I am running an Obutto with a 28 inch main monitor and a 17 inch side monitor for TS and the like. The Obutto is very comfy and comes with a lot of extra bits to customize your rig. I am really wanting to get into the 3 monitor setup so next up is the triple monitor mount.... :)

Building your own rig is the bomb, this rig cost me less than 300... as long as you have access to tools and supplies you are gold.

geez you could have had all 5 of those screens around you, so that you could use an ultra low fov and get a VERY realistic and immersive feeling of really being in the car and having ingame vision almost 180 degrees around you.... you would rather have 2 screens reading out everyones stats to you and telemetry info than a 5 screen setup??....

Wow. Any chance you have a parts list. Very nice. It has been a few weeks since I revisited this. I'm impressed. Thanks for your post.
