Makes sense to me I will link their thread to this thread. Thanks.
..Silverstone Slideshow!!...unplayable, or i get Textures all messed up and then rFactor2 Crashes...and the new F2 Car i get Errors with a missing Generic Race Driver...pphtt..
Since upgrading my pc I have no issues at all with rfactor, I'm really happy with the performance, I have no less than 120fps at silverstone in multiplayer and thats with x16Q CSAA or x8 MSAA and x2 SSGS, hell I can even do x4 SSGS and still get above 60fps or x8 SSGS but im hitting the 40fps then and these are minimums, graphics and performance are both beautiful.
I can understand people whinging at the performance of rfactor2 but they to have to understand and have respect that they are probably on old outdated hardware, if you wanna play it maxed out upgrade like I did. ISI have to focus on providing a medium thats suitable for all and that includes future proofing there current software for many years, that includes putting in high details that make old PCs puke with calculations.
My old pc Q6600 @ 3GHz, 4GB 850 DDR2 Ram and 2GB GTX680 = at Silverstone 50fps min with almost everything maxed using x2 MSAA and MS transparency.
The same settings
My new PC 4770k @ 4.3GHz, 8GB 2400 DDR3 Ram and 3GB GTX780 = at Silverstone 120fps min but now with x16 CSAA which is like x8 MSAA and x2 SSGS.
Bart, can you list your graphics settings and res? I presume you had mirrors off. Man they need to fix that. Maybe also for some other tracks. How bout Monaco?
Installation instructions please?
Specs in profile....
I havn't kept up to date with Nvidia offerings, but this doesn't look like a gamer spec card (I could be wrong), and the 4Gb system ram probably isn't helping matters either. Your CPU is probably ok still, is it 4 cores or just 2?
I remember back a few years trying to play Battlefield 2 at a LAN, and failing dismally. I had to bite the upgrade bullet hard because of that.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but Silverstone needs bumps added to the track. If you check out the onboard footage from WEC this year, and from what Peter Dumbreck said to me at Silverstone for Blancpain, the track can be quite tricky. Particularly noticeable into The Loop and down Hangar Straight...but more areas too.
It's on the list, yes .
Just spent an hour in a FISI 1 MP server at Silverstone -- track on max settings, an absolute blast. FPS were hovvering around 80-105FPS on my triple screen set-up at 5760 x 1080 resolution. Very fluid and no stutters. Funny thing is when I exited to desktop my anti-virus software had been doing a scan for most of the session
Good to hear because for the moment it is a bit nKPro-ish in smoothness. Having a blast throwing the FR35 around and getting great FPS after building a new PC but the lack of laser scanning is showing on this first release. Hope to see an update soon.
Really looking forward to them adding the surface bumps/character etc
I`ve found a hole with a "drop into space and end up back in the pits" bug guys...
Not sure if it`s been mentioned already...
Now that's beta testing!
(Or possibly just bad driving lol )
LOL, he's with Groundhog Racing Team
it is absolutely clear: Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
Any idea when bumps will be added to track surface?
