Back to the announcement: Will it still be possible, to use the Silverstone track for league races, also with broadcast? Or is that then an illegal thing?

They use the F1 layout, not the old FE one.

I don't think it's illegal. You didn't need a license before to do those things and you won't need it now. I mean it was Studio 397 that needed a license to distribute and advertise the track. Don't let anyone download it from the server though.

    Tha dependa on the country.
AFAIK, in Spain you can use It if there is non-profit, but i remember people in this forum telling that was different in other countries.

I've seen a message by one of the Devs that stated just re-upping the Silverstone license would have made it the most expensive track they have contracted for. And they doubted they could recover that cost even if the same track was released as DLC. Now if you add the expense of the laser scanning and building an entirely new track, the costs outweigh the gains by a mile.

What if some people maybe make slight changes to the track and upload it to the workshop ? Is this something ilegal ?

They want more money for "this " Silverstone?

Fuck them. Nowadays it´s just a name. The good old Silverstone track has been emasculated long time ago. Nowadays it is just another track, far from being, with Monza, the temple of speed. They can keep this sort of track for circus racing. It´s a joke.

Is there any problem if someone directly uploads the track to the workshop without any modification?

I would think that would be YES, it COULD be a problem. Since S397 is responsible for the content in the workshop, they have to keep an eye on things if they are no longer allowed to use Silverstone.
Say you own a grocery store and a 'friend' brings you a pick-up load of coca cola that he 'found.' Do you think the Coca Cola salesman might be a little miffed next time he comes in to see full shelves when the inventory/sales report said your store would need a truckload?
Even changing the name can sometimes run afoul of certain country's rules. It mainly depends upon the rights holder(Silverstone) and how aggressive they want to be. Now since we know Silverstone & S397 could not come to terms, the Silverstone team might be a little more attentive and certainly punitive.--

    Hi Gianluca

For the Monaco E-Prix as it was a paid item, that will always stay in your inventory - so no need to refund, it's just new players cannot purchase it after the closure date. We also replaced that in the wider Formula E Pack with London, so the same number of circuits remain available in that pack for new pack purchases.

Given to its complexity and MODDING capability, i think they knew that rF2 in 10 years will keep going strong. At the release time, rF2 already was far ahead on his time and still is!

If they took the rF1 example, that even nowadays it's used, why rF2 wouldn't be used in 2022? ;)

The big difference were the competitors (iR, AC, AMS, RR). In the rF1 times almost there weren't competitors.
