DX11 compatible HUD incorporating many of the new HUD parameters added in recent v1109 release, including DeltaBest, tyre wear, and weather. Designed to accommodate virtual mirrors.

Thanks to Studio 397 for continuing to evolve rF2.

Known issues: Virtual mirrors are covered up on 16:10 and 4:3 aspect ratio. Although it was designed to use with virtual mirrors, but only if 16:9 or wider. Sorry... will revisit possible narrow screen layout after next build.
Suggested fix is to stretch UI per these instructions ...SHQM HUD

    preview.jpg

I really liked Cosimo's DeltaBest and Martin's V-HUD, but unfortunately those plug-ins won't work in DX11 yet. I did this to suit my own preferences and screen format. There are a few things I'd like to do different, but maybe will improve later with future builds. Sharing it as way to give back, in recognition of all efforts from the other modders who share their talents so that the rest of us can enjoy.

UPDATED 14Apr2023 - ver1.6.4 now available on steam
    default layout includes throttle/brake inputs

Well done mate! These huds are definitely not the easiest thing to build, I've tried a few times and given up lol. Thanks for putting it together.

Would be great if we could combine yours with the stock ISI dial HUD for revs and gears.

are we (the user) able to move the main shifter module on the screen? it is right smack in the middle of the line of sight. this will change from car to car and driver preference, so it would be nice to move it somehow..
thank you for your hard work...

He needs to create an alternate hud, like digitalhud has the "upper" version

the placement of gear/speed was strictly based on my own preferences, built around the car i am currently driving the most.... it was placed high enough to still see steering wheel, but low enough to not block my view of the track ahead... but perspectives could be very different for every car (default seat position, cockpit geometry, etc.,. all unique to the vehicle)...

"adjustability" was something i really liked about Martin's V-HUD plugin... but the move to DX11 has meant no plugin solution (at least for now). no insight on what comes next from S397 with regards to plugins and HUD functionality, but its a positive signal to see them update in-game HUD functions to include DeltaBest, weather, and fuel prediction.

so maybe there's still more to come with regard to in-game HUD. There are a few things I personally would like to see...
    - adjustability/customization
    - RelativeTime (something Martin's V-HUD handled nicely)
    - ability to reformat some of the outputs (for example, prefer DeltaBest seconds only (xx.xxx) It does not need zeros for minutes)

thanks for the feedback. will be keeping notes . . .
let's see what comes with future builds of rF2, and learn what S397 are really up to with regard to HUD functionality (more in-game features, or restoring dependency on plugin solutions)

Looks great, a few alternate versions (no gear, different positions of the other bits) would be a fantastic addition like wedge HUD has different versions.

If your looking for different info to be displayed, may I suggest that you move the weather info to the left side, then add below it water & oil temps. Then on the right side you could put the distance to car in front and the car behind, below that. Also make the text abit bigger around the mirrors please.
It's a great HUD and my default now.

making some changes and incorporating some of the suggestions
    - 21:9 aspect ratio format
    - slightly lower position of gear/speedo
    - gap ahead/behind
    - drs
    - variety of options to choose from

Can you make 2 version 1 with and 1 without the gear indicator and speed display with LED rev lights, then it would be better as now with VR on most cars you can use the dash display or the steering wheel display ;)

    Version 1.4 was uploaded to steam . . .

    - lowered speed/gear indicators to improve visibility of track ahead
    - three layouts now offered: default, spec A, spec B
    - added DRS indicators
    - improved LED shift lights
    - info on driver ahead/behind
    - fixed scalability on ultrawide screen resolutions

the hud A: I would need 1 cm more at the bottom ...
the delta could have stuck to the top of the screen, pasted on top and eliminate the black background, only the red or green stripe + the times. Thank you
