My reaction to music in sims is always the same: open the game for the first time... music sounds nice, put the music volume slider on 0.
Internal combustion is the only music that should be heard. Just like @Will Mazeo and @drdrum, first thing done in any game: turn the &#%@ off.
Yes, the new Consumed EP and the new Face To Face acoustic album! In all seriousness Menu Music is the first thing I turn off personally, if I wanted Music I'd have WinAmp running in the background!
You almost gave me a heart attack @MarcG . I'm thinking what sort of hipster dropkick wants to feel the wrath of Mr Damage. That's how out of touch this once gig playing guitarist has become, I thought you meant the album Face to Face by Oz legends The Angels. Google told me otherwise.
UI music is almost always some form of Wub, Wub, Wub that is immediately turned off... Dont bother and focus that time, attention, and money on something else.
intro music would be cool, but only this one the one i used to play when running a F1 1967 off-line championship (btw,it will be embarassing if assetto corsa competizione gonna be released before rf2 get built in off-line championship) This other one is good, but original was better
Xandu by Rush.(slow and quiet at the begining, building to a powerful guitar solo (especially a live version)before fading again at the end. or Fractured Mirror by Ace Frehley, all other songs should be binned.) But there is nothing I HATE more than some excellent historic video of a Can Am Monster engine being drowned out by Electronic rabbit earred dj disco'd-balled rave tunes. I vote strongly in the NO column, physics over music.
I would never ordinarily listen to music like this, but in this specific case... well, it sounds dated, but i still love it for what it is/was intro menu, with sound effects some of you out there know how this goes. Don't wait! Hit it! I'd say it's likely i could transplant that into rF2 if i poked about enough... If it were just ambient garage/pits noises, i'd be ok with that too
It was a long time before I knew the F1GP intro music was part of a Fleetwood Mac song. Now I see the BBC use it (still?) for their intro in F1 telecasts. I guess I'm too young Oh, and more on-topic, I started up rF1 a few months back and that menu hit a place in my brain that I haven't thought about for a long time but it was definitely still there. Music sticks with you in that way, which can also be dangerous... Sometimes I still get the music from what I think was called "Rally Championship 2000" or something, in my head. And I haven't seen it since playing it...
I'd like to be able to point the UI to a music folder on my PC and have it to play in shuffle from there Back in the day, this into/menu music used to give me goosebumps
I just want the ability to drop some mp3 files into the rf2 folders. No need to give us a hole soundtrack I guess...
I have no idea if this works but apparently the music controls, in-game Settings / Controls / Misc, are used to control the Steam music player.
