The hdv is mainly about strength, via the nominal max steering force. If you've set up the new steering rack parameters you can change the linearity but that's probably not an 'issue'. Other than that I think it comes down to suspension and steering arm geometry. I've been thinking of looking at your car files because of some reports of variations and issues but can't guarantee I will, plus I'm no expert.
