I've been using 5 rF2 servers for a long time, with paid and free content. Everything worked well when using the ServerUnlock.bin and ServerKeys.bin files. Since February 2023, I have not updated these files, but yesterday I wanted to create a server with Porsche_992_GT3_Cup, but when installing the .rfcmp files, I saw that the installation was not happening. After reading several forum threads, I found out that the ServerKeys.bin file is no longer needed. Then I just updated the ServerUnlock.bin file, but the installation still doesn't work. What is wrong in my actions? Thanks in advance for your help!!! Update: I answer myself, maybe I can help someone. The serverKeys.bin file is no longer needed! But if you updated your server and did not do a clean installation, your ModMgr.exe file which is located in the root folder of the server is OUT OF DATE! You need to move the new ModMgr.exe file from the Bin64 folder! It has the same version, but it is updated, you can see it by the file size! It is still needed but i noticed you need to regenerate it on an account with all content needed or it will fail. Since everybody can install anything from paid content even if not bought, anybody can renew it on any machine ...
Are you sure it relies on the content being installed? That wasn't the impression when this all changed, but I don't know how the items are referenced either...
Just noticed one item was not installing but then worked when i refreshed the Unlock bin ... It happens rarely to have to refresh the Unlock bin but it's often next to new content or update if i remember well ...
Ah, ok, that sounds more like it. It's not about having the content installed, but any DLC updates will need a new (fresh) .bin, which gets updated each time you run the game. All good!
