SOLVED Server that does not appear in the matchmaker

Hi All

The server is 17h open and I just see that it is not in the matchmaker.

Is this what is crashing servers French?

No crash just now that I can not join my server and other
As against other crashes so I have assumed that if the server is not visible, a crash can happen.

It is on that if I reboot and it will appear but in this case, there is the worry of loss of communication between the dedicated and matchmaker

For more information:
Loading vmliveview

I try to shut down the server and it remains on the window: "Closing ISI Dedicated Server ..." and does not close.
Ok so close and still no error.
Task manager does not report an error and its status is "In the course of execution"
I am forced to leave by "End Task"

I'll test without vmliveview and see if the problem continued.

Tonight, I wanted to join my server where there were two pilots and 30 seconds later, the server crash for no reason.
vmliveview was removed completely, so nothing to do this time with him.

I know I have to double the pit exit the driver to stop.
He expect his fellow .... possible and have it hit, I'm sure he did not return after that.
Because the server is down but my rFactor and also not on the same machine, of course.

I have not had time to see the matchmaker, if my server was still visible or not.

I tend to think that the matchmaker to a European side worries.
20 minutes that my reports on the server crash, air correspond with the loss of matchmaker.
The number of pilots has nothing to do since I last night were only 3

So the matchmaker in trouble. I'm not the matchmaker after some time.
Besides, I'm the closer, the concern is there for changing your service provider to see ...
 
I'm hosting 5 servers and they list when they want ...

When you're connected : no issue

But why, do they always disapear from the matchmaker's list, it´s strange.

Perhaps the matchmaker doesn't allow 5 servers on the same ip. No clue.

Lucky, you still think there's a problem with France?

Did you manage to reproduce liveview hanging bug in Belgium???

The live view was no longer in the game, the plugin has nothing to do here with the server or crash is disparrait the matchmaker.
I think it comes from but I can dedicate myself wrong.

We have 5 servers ourselves. I have a hard time creating issues so far other than with the liveracers plugin.

Mmmm I think I put away all the plugins even the trackir one.

The only one left is the netcomm one which is in charge of matchmaking I believe, am I true on this one Tim?

I don't use liveracers plugin anymore since I was using vmliveview plugin, but as you know i removed that one, recovering from the 3 french leagues issues with this plugin.

The server disappearing from the matchmaker is there since a long periode I can't even remember.

There's the same issue with liveracer's plugin too? Did liveracers recompile and solved an issue? In this case most leagues using these services should upgrade their plugin too...

Sometimes I remember I didn't always get the message Matcher status : server updated sucessfully in the past.


But since using a professional fixed ip connexion I have no bad message for Matcher status.



So I simply don't understand why server are missing. Perhaps a misstake in the routine about filtering or displaying servers in the list ...



OR, I'm on the same LAN as the server and I'm the only who sees my servers coming back and here... No I'm the not the only one, the dudes from my league did complain a pair of times on that one ...

I had this as well. it was when the vmod was created on my pc. no Matches Status and no ID in Dedicated window.
Created the same vmod on the server and that worked.

Happened once so far but its worth looking into I suppose. With the local vmod the server, when launched, is active, just no Matcher Status and it does not appear in the lobby.
 
Ok but here I have a matcher status which is fine and the servers keep disapearing from the lobby so ...

It's ever a problem at matchmaker side or in the client side.

Sure I can wireshark this behaviour, will try when I got time ...
 
Stevo from Live Racers is away till this coming week-end. If you look in your userdata folder, there is a logfile that is created.
Take a look at the log and see if for any reason, there are any errors.

I am sure as soon as he returns, it will be priority one to fix any issues on his end.

Have you tried, starting one instance at a time, and seeing if it appears in the MM Lobby?

If it appears and remains after re-freshing a few times, start another and try to see if it is just a port issue?

When I set up a multi server set up, I split each server by 300 each, also the HTTP Server port.

example:

Server 1: Open-Wheel
Simulation Port="49297"
HTTP Server Port="50297"

Server 2: Historics
Simulation Port="49597"
HTTP Server Port="50597"

Server 3: GT
Simulation Port="49897"
HTTP Server Port="50897"

And so on


I just create a server-port.txt on the desktop and paste each into it for easy reminder.

I create each vmod on the server, It is a pain, but open each server instance, re-point ModManager to the proper location of the mod and create away.

No issues as of yet, just took a bunch of trial and error to figure out what works the best.

I know, I messed one up when first testing multi setups on a dedicated, I was just copy and pasting the port configs.. and I could not
for the life of me get it to show.

I was pasting in the ports, and it missed the " from the end of the port statement "DUH"

Chased that one for a hour or two..

Something else to look at, everything these days seem to be based and built around Net Framework.
Have you made sure that it is up to date with the 3.5 service pak?

When i make a mistake on the ports usually the server doesn't want to start.

Can you see the 5 atchoom´s servers in the lobby? Do you see them appear&disappear?
 
I do see 1 to 4 no 5th one. I did refresh 2-3 times..always there.

I would look at the ports for the 5th one.. :)
