Hello everyone, I ask here if you can answer to my problem because in the Italian forum have not been able to give me a solution, a friend of mine did a server with rFactor2 buy on ISI site, I buy of steam and I can not find server in the server list, another friend of mine who always buy the rfactor2 on ISI site can find, how can I fix this? Hi, ask your friend with the server if he opened the Steam Ports in his firewall. Standard installation there are the Ports UDP 64298 + 64299 If he set the dedicated.exe in his firewall he has to open these ports, too. If he adited used Ports for this server he has set up the next 2 Ports from his chosen HTTP server Port. e.g. HTTP Server Port: 50000 Simulation Port: 60000 He has to open the Ports UDP + TCP 60000 TCP 50000 UDP 50001 + 500002 After this you´ll see his server in Steam MM
I to have this issue. Some of the members in my group have moved over to steam and could only see 3 out of 5 servers in the list. After finding out about the new ports I realised I had a conflict with these ports. I reset the ports for each server and now the steam users can't see any servers in the list. It doesn't matter what I do all servers are available for non-steam and steam can't see any servers. The ports I'm using are Server 1 54197 UDP+TCP 64197 TCP 64198 UDP 64199 UDP Server 2 54297 UDP+TCP 64297 TCP 64298 UDP 64299 UDP Server 3 54397 UDP+TCP 64397 TCP 64398 UDP 64399 UDP Server 4 54497 UDP+TCP 64497 TCP 64498 UDP 64499 UDP Server 5 54597 UDP+TCP 64597 TCP 64598 UDP 64599 UDP
Hi Nib, I've read somewhere (can't find where though) that restarting the server box (not just the servers)may fix that problem. Haven't actually seen anyone confirm that though. Hope that helps Cheers G
Host and clients must open ports. This are rF2 default ports which members must open : 54297 TCP + UDP 64297 TCP 64298 UDP 64299 UDP You can use CurrPorts to find out what ports your dedicated servers are using. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html You simply start server 1 first and look from CurrPorts which ports it is using and open them in your router, then you shut down server 1 and launch server 2............and so on.
Thanks Goanna ...I did do that. I have also now just installed a steam server following these instructions https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=553088396 and still the same issue. Steam users can't see the servers.
My server 2 is using the default ports and the one I'm testing first. I have tested every server with cports and each server is using the same ports I have listed above. Still only non steam can see the servers
And still without opening ports as a client. I can't see all the servers. For example the apex server i couldn't find last week. WhiteShadow told me to open ports but haven't done that till now because i'm kind off busy.
I have same problem, opened the extra ports after switching to steam, multiplayer.json is default but i cant find my own server !!!
Same problem. I opened a new thread since this is a bit old, but I'm experiencing this issue now after some months during which I didn't run the server. My last usage was in February and everything worked fine by then. I included in my post some details to show that this is not a server/network issue. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...isible-at-all-on-any-list?p=435577#post435577
