I'm curious to know if this is possible with rf2. This is a pre Server entry list of requirements, links, rules or what every information you would wish to post to users entering your server. The examples given are taken from Live for Speed. For anyone who hasn't played LFS most Servers will ask you to agree to there terms before entering the room. Hi Bryan It can be done if ISI implements the message of the day, so that it displays it upon joining. Although the MOTD is pretty limited (plain text and max 60 chars or so). Otherwise someone can make a plugin that shows this info in the chat when joining the server. This already exists for rFactor1 I think and shouldn't be hard to make.
Hi Ed, so when will you have it ready for me I just think it could be a good idea for those running servers wanting to give a some relevant info to those interested. LFS does it well and it could be a handy plugin.
Definitely useful, as you can put the basic rules and information which would ideally be shown in large on the screen when joining the server. A plugin through the chat isn't the best thing (not everyone might read it, it doesn't have color support...), so it would be great if ISI implements something like that. Otherwise the rFactorAutomaticChatMessage ( http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/4336-rFactorAutomaticChatMessage-V1-1 ) by fazerbox would be a good starting point. If you'd like though I can create you a plugin to show chat messages (or whispers to the driver to avoid spamming the chat) every time a driver enters the server. I'll give it a go this weekend
