Yesterday during the 1st round of my league's championship the server crashed two times, the first happened during the switch from P to Q, and the second at the end of the Q (few seconds left). I would love to know the reason, to ensure it will never happen again. All the info Server build: 1109 Track: Zolder 1.03 Cars: GT3 World Series Max players allowed: 45 - We were around 35 players rF2 server upload/download speed: 16Mbps/16Mbps Allow skin transfer: yes Server specs Intel pentium J2900 8 GB RAM Windows Server 2012 Operating System D: 100Mbit U:100Mbit I never had a crash before, last week we did a test race with the same players without any issue, the only different things were... track: Paul Ricard rF2 server upload/download speed: 8Mbps/8Mbps Any suggestion? Any log where i can take a look?
Does the server download and upload files @ 100/100? Our server also has this connection but it downloads files @ max 10mbps, for that reason I would not let rf2 use more than this. Maybe this is the problem there (considering you increased from 8 to 16)
@Christopher Elliott Just yesterday morning i checked for any updates through SteamCMD and the server was already up to date @Will Mazeo That's true, but unfortunatelly (or fortunatelly) seems not to be the case
The tests in our server shows same result 100/100. But it never download or upload higher than 10mbps (you know that "MB" or "Mb" thing, I always mess up these 2) Not saying this is the problem tho, but would be the first thing I'd check. Get back to 8/8 setting and ask the 35 to join again just to change session
You are scaring me And you could be right... I tried to upload a file in DropBox, 780mb in around 6 minutes. I'm not a math genius but... 780mb/6 minutes are 130mb/minute, 2,16mb/sec. 2,16 * 8 = 17,3 Mbit in upload Yep, first thing i'll do is go back to 8/8 and do some test.
Update: I did more test as DropBox and the varoius clouds could have some limitation in upload, i gave to a friend a direct download link from the server, he has a 50Mbit connection, and indeed he was downloading the file at his maximum speed. So, i'm sure the server has at least 40Mbit in upload, and the connection can't be the problem
