Two evenings a go I was on my server with three others "Pitlanes.com BTCC". Though the issue is repeated on my other server. Someone went on to try it this afternoon and said he got an error "Server and client builds do not match". This was confirmed by two others. I installed the 798 build, again and got another server up and running. Same issue. Both clients and server are 100% on build 798. I have treble checked the ports, all is correct there too..... Any advice?
Ok, got it working. Restarted my dedi. The servers would then stay in the matchmaker. Another issue arose, The join button showed and you could click it (it animated) but would do nothing. So I changed the ports, it now works. What I don't understand is nothing on the server changed between it not working and then giving the error above... I have no idea why it happened. I'm the only one with access to the server too.
Yeah it's happened three times now. Restarting the dedicated server (not just the exe) has worked to fix it each time.
