I was made aware today of a site claiming to allow rF2 pre-order. While we have no issue with this, per-se, they don't know the pricing yet... So anybody doing it is either taking a risk, or a scam.

Please note: We would advise that you never purchase anything from a site which does not have a postal address, a phone number or some other way for you to make physical or verbal contact. This includes any locations which claim to allow you to pre-order rFactor 2, but is accurate for any online transaction. Be very careful, use sites you have successfully dealt with before, or just wait until we tell you where you can get it as that's the safest way.

We were notified about a site today which promised a download of the rF2 'final version' (which is funny, we won't have that for a long time, wonder where they got it - oh wait - they're lying). :)

The download turned out to be an 8MB file and I did NOT download it to see what it is, because it would likely be a very nasty file to let near my machines.

Again, just a reminder, be very careful with sites which promise things too good to be true. Whether it's for an ISI sim, any other game or sim, or anything in life whatsoever. The internet isn't a completely safe place, and most scams such as the one we were notified about today are relatively simple. Don't get hooked into fakes. :)
