Following Tim McArthur's resignation from Race2Play, the decision has been made to shut down the online racing service after 11 years of service. I will personally miss the service, even though I didn't race on R2P that often. The amount contributed to the Sim Racing community as a whole was immense, and I thank Tim and everyone at R2P for all they have done.
If I'm not mistaken, Marcel said in an interview that we would have a web interface with matchmaking. Maybe its the salvation for the community, at least for rF2.
"Offering" a $30 Setup Guide on Steam, which pretty much did what FREE guides had done for years, kinda put the nail in the coffin...
