S397 Ligier JSP320 Steering Wheel Position

So I'm really enjoying this car. I work on them in real life so it's super cool getting to drive it in rF2.

Just one small thing is nagging me with the steering wheel which is its position relative to the tub. It sits a bit too high

The position of the rotational axis relative to the rest of the car is fine I think, it's just the wheel is positioned too high relative to the rest of the model, so it looks like you are pushing the wheel to one side rather than turning it. And when you are turning the wheel takes up more of your view than it would in reality.

As I said, it's a small thing but it feels like a little bit of an immersion breaker in an otherwise awesome car.

Does anyone at S397 know if this can be tweaked in a future update? If it can I've uploaded a picture showing where the wheel is positioned in the real thing. When the wheel is level the straight edge above the rev lights is about 2cm above the flat surface of the tub.

That all depends on the car they used for their information most drivers/teams actually change the height of the wheel depending on the driver and where they like it and how tall they are

Have you tried changing your seat position in the game?
you can move seat up and down and forward and backwards. I even think you can tilt the back but not 100% sure.

you can look up which keys in "assign buttons" settings menu.

And if you have a steering wheel with its own screen you can hide it in game.
Or you can set it to not rotate.

if you can regulate the inclination, I think it was with the fov and the seat:)

I don't know where you've got that from, but it isn't correct.

As I said, I work on these cars IRL, and we can't move the steering wheel's position at all. We can make a custom seat insert and possibly adjust the pedal box, but the steering wheel doesn't move. All Ligier JSP320 chassis are identical as they are strictly homologated cars. The position of the steering rack and where it connects to the steering wheel is the same on all of them.

The actual default seat position is ok, a bit high if anything which I guess makes the steering wheel position a bit more of a problem. It's just the in-game physical position of the steering wheel. I'll have a look for that setting to stop the wheel rotating, but it would still be nice for the wheel to move realistically when driving.
