New Fanatec CSL DD video by opinion leader... rF2 not included.

Maybe if S397 would start fixing flaws and exploits... money might roll in.

Not even installed...

If you actually take time to watch the video, he specifically mentions trying to use it with RF2 but has some sort of issue with a what he thinks was the graphics driver.

Like I wrote below the clip: It was not even installed... case closed.

That's how it ends... with, what they're called in any industry; Opinion Leaders, moving away so newcomers are only exposed to other sims.
That's how it ends... with people getting fed up.

Mike from 604... you have to torq his arm to get rF2 clip.
Chris Haye... Not even installed.
Broadbent asen't done an rF2 clip in years.
Hamidovic has also dropped it.
Boosted Media... zip.
Race Beyond Matter... never.
The Simpit,,, only if it's a competition he takes part in.
Empty Box... years ago.
Jardier... like none.

I'm fighting here for S397 to get the job done and I'm getting bashed for it. Bash S397... maybe they'll wake up!

Chris Haye was never that much into rF2 so I wouldn't worry too much about him not using the sim. His focus has allways been on AC/ACC with doing some one off stuff using other products. It's the same thing like expecting DaveCam to make rF2 videos eventhough he is clearly an iRacing guy. That said, Dave enjoyed rF2. ;)

Regarding if it makes sense to focus on the "opinion leaders" or how you want to call them: I personaly think it's very problematic if people are dumb enough to go by a single youtubers opinion while there are a multitude of sources to obtain information. YT influencers usualy create videos with content that is popular. JB for example had the most clicks with his F1 game stuff wich makes me wonder if decent physics are actually important to people following those influencers. And that's just no an issue with simracing but society as a whole. Looking at the video you could ask the same question at the iRacing or Reiza forums and you would propably get the same response. It's not the point of the video to not use rF2, iRacing or what ever but to simply review a piece of hardware.

Rfactor 2 can be a bit fiddly to setup

I choose bodnar ffb system in options but didn’t work I then had to try & manually get rf2 to recognise my bodnar ffb wheel but didn’t detect
The thing that sorted it in the end is changing my rotation % up then it became recognised

I tried out ACC on their free weekend and I got everything setup in under 2 minutes zero hassle although I didn’t like ACC the setup works as it should

a pal of mine is also a keen sim racer & doesn't use Rfactor2 as it didn’t recognise his ffb wheel & like many he just gave up after 5 minutes & deleted rf2

Also a lot of the driving aids are defaulted to on many don’t realise

Rfactor2 is my preferred sim & Ive sorted it
but it suffers as it’s a mess

Quote from the video "I did test the CSL DD with rfactor2", quite how you work out that it was never installed and that your case is closed is simply stupid.

SR604: He’s been an AC guy for a while, and liked Project Cars and is doing a lot for AMS2. He does play rf2 sometimes, but usually when something comes out that catches his eye.
Chris Haye: Mainly uses ACC and AC where he can do his Chris Harris style videos with ease.
Broadbent: when he got popular he had to go more accessible stuff. Hence lawnmowers on the Nordschleife.
Ermin: he changes opinion weekly so don’t get too worked up
Boosted Media: Not followed his stuff much
Shaun Cole: Been an iracing guy for YEARS, mainly with the ISR stuff he was doing.
Empty Bawkx: Does indycar stuff on iracing and is known for that. But he’s only ever done what he wants to do and doesn’t really care about what the audience wants. He just uploads and lets people decide whether or not they like it.
Jardier: He’s doing all the top level ACC stuff, but then he’s a guy who is just having fun.

But more importantly, who really cares? If I’d been given one of those wheels to review I’d have probably used rf2 as it’s what I know best. Chris knows AC inside out, might as well use that for the review.

I don't know what you people do for a living but, in marketing, sales, they are better than advertising so if they go away... that's not good.

But again, denigrating people seems to be a sport here.

Youtube is advertising. Influencers do get paid in one way or another. It's been a thing now for years in everything from appliances to watches.

Who's denigrating you?
