    Hello,

    I have a Nvidia 560 Ti. I have two monitors connected to the DVI's & the third to the HDMI Port. Is it possible to run rFactor with Triple Monitor Setup like this?

    Also, if it is, do I need some software to be able to run it?

    Thank you for all the help,

    Mj

    Ok, I see I cannot do it with one card. I do have a SLI board though.

    Is it possible to use a lesser Nvidia card in the second slot & plug a monitor in there, or do I have to SLI them with the same card?

    Thank You,

    mj

    I like to know your systems specs, as I really can't do that with my own rig...

    Especially AI cars behaves like slide show on track, no matter which sync mode I use...

    Cheers!

    Prior to the release of the NVidia 6XX cards you could only run 2 monitors across any of the connections on a Nvidia card max. so for 560 or 560ti 1GB or 2GB or anything in between... 2 monitors max.

    You need 3 monitors minimum for Nvidia surround and they all have to be identical in make/model (well more or less) and to achieve this you need a second card with the same speeds/specs as the one you have now.

    To get good frame rates you need highly specced cards and to get good frame rights with a nice picture (High AA etc) you need lots of vRAM...

    To sum up, there is loads on this subjected dotted all over the archives of previous builds and too much to read on the interweb itself, but to achieve what you want you need to add a card at the very least and only if your monitors are very very similar will you be able to get Nvidia surround across them.

    ATI eyefinity is much simpler or the 6xx series of cards from Nvidia, but still the same statement applies as above: To get good frame rates you need highly specced card(s) and to get good frame rights with a nice picture (High AA etc) you need lots of vRAM... despite the ability to get surround on a single 6xx card, you still should consider at least 2 of them and as much memory as you can afford on each of them.

    Here is my config.SoftTHconfig for rFactor 2:

    nonlocalFormat=RGB16D
    keepComposition=0

    smoothing=0
    debugD3D=0

    zClear=1
    vsync=1
    tripleBuffer=1
    screenshotFormat=jpg

    dllPathD3D9=auto

    dllPathDXGI=auto

    dllPathD3D11=auto

    [overrides]

    forceResolution=0

    antialiasing=0

    processAffinity=0
    FOVForceHorizontal=0

    FOVForceVertical=0

    [debug]

    compatibleIB=0

    compatibleTex=0
    compatibleVB=0
    enableVBQuirk=0

    [head_primary]
    ; borderA=0
    ; borderL=0

    sourceRect=1340,0,1920,1080

    screenMode=1920x1080

    [head_1]
    ;
    ; borderA=0
    ; borderL=0
    devID=1

    sourceRect=0,0,1340,1080
    destRect=100,0,1340,1153

    transportResolution=1340x1080

    transportMethod=auto
    noSync=0

    fpsLimit=0

    [head_2]
    ; borderA=0
    ; borderL=0
    devID=2
    sourceRect=3260,0,1340,1080
    destRect=-100,0,1340,1153

    transportResolution=1340x1080
    transportMethod=auto
    noSync=0
    fpsLimit=0

    It works for pCARS too, but not without issues . I have not tried rFactor on this build of my computer but it worked before. Spent many hours driving around the Targa Florio!

    How do you even get the program to work. I put the d3d9.dll in the file, but how do you get the rfactor.exe to use it? I guess I'm confused.

    The d3d9.dll goes in the Core folder.

    Hello,

    I understand the whole sli comment. The question is about sli. I have a Nvidia 560 Ti. I also have a nvidia 6600 gt. Can I use SoftTh with both of those? It seems I can put the slower 6600 gt in the computer to just run the one right monitor, while the 560 Ti would run the Middle and Left monitor. Is this possible?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Guys,

    I have a new issue, I got SoftTh working great, but now I can't get my Nvidia Inspector settings to take place while it's running. I get bad AA & AF. Is something blocked?

    Thank You,

    mj

    Can someone please confirm this statement:

    My guess is that it just doesn't work. MSAA works most of the times, but SSAA through SoftTH isn't implemented.

    Thank You,

    mj
