As posted in the B494 release thread on this page: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/18526-rF2-Build-494-Released/page38 The issue exsists for a while now, but before 342 it was only with Road Reflection HIGH. Now it's happening with LOW in 342 and 382. With OFF it doesn't happen. With 494 it seems there may be two separate ways for the bug to appear: 1) Since very early builds we had this "black cloud of flys" artifacts which seem to relate to house windows or other scenery objects being "reflected" 2) Now in B494 there are instances where solid black rectangles appear I saw a Skippy cause this at Poznan as I was trailing it in a bit of distance, there would flicker and again disappear a black rectangle beneath it. On the technical side, most people reporting this in the thread above seem to run ATI Cards, newest and older drivers both, but now also some NVidia users may be affected. Settings on High or Medium doesn't seem to make a difference.
I also noticed on Sepang of ISI's own tracks, on the main straight, in the pits... Also noticed on Sebring with the URD EGT mod, when looking behind (vette) then there is a black thingy in the road...
Also,.... for me the mirage effect has gone. Where is it? Instead I get this black stuff everywhere... strange.
I've noticed that the black artifacts on the road seem to correspond with another bug - the parts of trackside objects or cars that appear through smoke View attachment 11874 View attachment 11875 View attachment 11876 View attachment 11877 View attachment 11878 View attachment 11879
Here too. Also, someone tried the new Catalyst 14.2? I have uneven usage on my CF, on Bahrain in heavy conditions I've got GPU usage at 95-98% on 1st card and 50-60% on the second. Maybe I should try back the 14.1, I had a good FPS boost with the 494B and 14.1
Its not becuase of the Catalyst. I have nVidia Gtx 780 and have the same issue at Poznan. Have black very big artifacts. Its very difficult to drive in that conditions. Someone from ISI have something to say about this? Thanks.
