Is VR lower FOV/width than triple 1080p monitors? Just thinking about if VR would have more power to work with than my 3 monitors. In that case maybe it would work for me. Right now on my 60hz monitors i have to try and lie just above 60FPS to be smooth (or 60hz smooth at least...), but if the VR FOV/width/viewport out to the sim "world" is smaller than triple 1080p monitors i might have the 90FPS needed for smooth VR (cause it is 90FPS right?).

For the performance it's not about the FOV, it's more about resolution. The CV1 has the target rendering resolution at 2700x1600, with 1.4 PPD (you'll need around that to have a decent image quality) that goes up to 3780x2240. But with ASW (Asynchronous Space Warp) you're going to need "only" 45FPS.

In the end it really depends on what you're willing to sacrifice in your graphics settings (reflections, shadows s.o.) to have the immersion of VR.

VR makes my 1080Ti feel inadequate still. 1.5 super sampling but only low PP's for somewhat smooth experience. I think I would say rF2 has sharpest vr compared to pcars for sure and maybe even AC.

I've used vr with triples and single monitor and I don't notice much different if any with rF2, pcars or AC which is solid 90 fps 1.5 super sampling all the time.

I do notice new vr games I've recently bought are much clearer then any of the sims. I am suspicious of pcars having some kind of auto blur. Its all over their settings and in the replays for sure.
I pay all this money for the best card and some idiot programed blur, really??

Cheers. Higher FOV use more resources due to more graphics on screen but i just remembered that i use low FOV with 5760x1080 res. BTW i use low shadows lol. :)
