Could you just reset the time on your server? I don't know how the race servers work, so I may be FOS.
Hi Gerald Jacobson, i have a dedicated server on steam and i have a single installation but with 4 server. I'd like to have on each server a different wheather, but on any server i have the same weather, weather of last server that I open. There is a solution?
My way of doing it is: Our server has 4 rFactor 2 profiles (look up rF2 Dedi manager by Noel or duplicate player folders, renaming the folder e.g. Server1 and the json file inside e.g. Server1.json) In each player folder there is a file called WeatherControlPlugin.ini In each player folder, the port number is unique (it can be any number not used by anything else!) When you run the rF2 dedi servers simultaneously with the realtime weather app open, they will appear under different entries.
Yes, what I did not understand is that the server1 there was not WeatherControlPlugin.ini. I added the file and also in the other folders (server2, 3, 4), changed port and it all works perfectly! Thanks!
How do you get the Live Weather working, as FSR seem to be able to have it update in real time as the server updates rather than collect the forecast data and save it.
Make sure the realtime app is grabbing the lat and lon from the track, if not you will have to put it in manually and check the tickbox.
OK I don't know how to work this plugin, something I am doing very wrong. And I need to get it working in like 30 mins for a race that might be wet. It says its gonna be wet in Montreal and it still says 'Overcast.' 1) Installation Copy the content of this directory wherever you want as soon as they stay in the same directory. 2) Usage Launch the WeatherServer.exe Using the windows tray icon, open the console. You will see in the table, all running (auto discovered plugins) and previously running plugins Then select a plugin and configure it (by default each plugin is in "None" weather mode - so, no weather data are sent to the plugin) >>> For now, do not let the smoothing value to "0", as rF2 sometimes react strangly to instant weather change. 3) Informations Be sure to have the same port value in the WeatherServer.ini and all plugins WeatherControlPlugin.ini [SERVER] Port=<xxx> ///////////////////// INI description ////////////////// // The CorePath must point to the parent directory of "Core\ModMgr.exe", in my installation my ModMgr.exe path is "C:\Users\Amphiprion\rFactor2\Core\Core\ModMgr.exe" (note the "Core\Core") // so i use CorePath="C:\Users\Amphiprion\rFactor2\Core" // [RFACTOR2] CorePath=<path of the core directory - ex "C:\Users\Amphiprion\rFactor2\Core"> GDBExtractPath=<path of the directory to extract GDB files - ex "C:\Users\Amphiprion\rFactor2\Core\Plugins\TrackMap\Tracks"> [SERVER] Port=<rF2 weather server port - default is 666> DefaultWeatherUndergroundAPIKey=<your default API key - visite the website to claim a free key : http://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/> ///////////////// Track location lookup ///////////////////////// As some track descriptor file can have missing information for latitude and longitude, or if you want change it, you can override GDB data using the WeatherServer-Track.ini. Create a section per GDB filename and set your lat/lon like: [SEBRING_12H.GDB] latitude=27.451052 longitude=-81.352268 I followed all of this, is there anything else I have to do, please help!
[h=2]If the app is not grabing from you location you need to check "use my own latitude and longitude" and put your coordinate there. -45.47 °N, 73.74 °W[/h]
OK I think I've got it working a bit better. What do I put, do I put -45.47 into LAT and 73.74 into Long?
Sry small mistake lat 45.47 long -73.74 lat - : degs from Equator (range: -90 to 90, positive is Northern Hemisphere) long: degs from GMT (-180 to 180, positive is East)
