I'm also finally able to run in the rain, although night with rain is still pretty much unplayable.

Unfortunately, i also notice a lot of rain spray coming through the cockpit in VR. I'm not sure if this is from today's build or an older problem, because I didn't play in the rain much. It's showing up on the Porsche RSR and a couple others though.

Yea rain and dust still comes through the cockpit in all cars I tested.
I haven't done 3D modelling in years, however I remember that I put impenetrable invisible objects around models that had tiny holes somewhere to seal them off.
Could you not try it at least for the floor of the car?

EDIT: Just realized this is very off topic, sorry.

I think I'm having better performance vs visuals by leaving Application - Application Resolution Adjustment @ 100% (for my GPU 130% was recommended by SteamVR), & Video - Manual Override @ unchecked.

This then allows me to raise the in-game AA settings from 2 to 3. Unfortunately I don't run benchmarks but just run the same session and see how it plays through from Practice, to Qualifying, and then Race. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Sell the 1070 and buy with the money for that Card and for the second one a 1080ti. Sli with midrange Hardware was never a good idea

    Hello.
I usually play triple screen because i like how smooth my experience is. However i try from time to time my oculus rift to see if i can switch to it and do regular racing, Stutter has been the main issue i cant switch .
I have 1080 ti card and every time my oculus frame rate drops below 90 i get stutter. Really cant play like that .
Is there any solution to that?

The VR performance as gotten better but it’s still not well optimized. Run with 20 cars at twilight and you’re gonna struggle with everything on medium.

I have a 1080gtx and i7-7700k. I can play but triples are much smoother.

Make sure you are not running oculus Home 2.0. Also disable SteamVR home beta. Set Oculus.exe to have admin rights and then close it. Open SteamVR and use it only to run rF2. Make sure Oculus home is not running in the background. Try it this way if you have not already and see if the stutter goes away.

I am hoping that S397 can work on an oculus specific executable so we can stop using steamVR to run this title.

Playing a game stops Oculus Homes CPU usage automatically so that will not help. The only thing you can do is keep ASW constantly activated so that you drive with native 45 fps which were interpolated to 90fps

After the recent VR Performance Updates we've had I've been able to run better settings at a smoother FPS than before, I used to lock everything to 45FPS which was fine (for me) but now I tend to run with ATW instead as per the shortcut below, I find this setting to be smoother than AUTO (which is default it I think, may be wrong).

Try a shortcut for a lap or two with AI and see what one works bes for you.

CTRL+KP1 - Disable ASW and USE ATW - What I use now
CTRL+KP2 - Force apps to 45hz, DISABLE ASW
CTRL+KP3 - Force apps to 45hz, ENABLE ASW - What I used to use pre update
CTRL+KP4 - Enable ASW to operate automatically
