When the Windows MR sets first came out SteamVR ignored the WMR IPD settings. That was later fixed with a patch. It's possible that SteamVR ignores the Oculus IPD setting and just sets it to whatever the default is. If that's the case then the rF2 ingame setting would be based on if your IPD is higher or lower then whatever Oculus defaults to.

Not sure what or how WMR headsets set their IPD but with the Rift CV1 it's a manual slider, so there's no way SteamVR could interfere with that :)

Yes Hardware IPD on Rift is set with help of a screen with triple green lines in a cross. We must aims the sharpest lines possible. Uses only for a sharpest rendering. IPD in game help to the world scale. With 0.900 my virtual's wheel, at example, is a little smallest and looks good for me, but my IPD is 64mmm. MarcG with an IPD of 58/60 prefers 1.200

    Hello,
In rF2, you can adjust the quality of the images via the launcher or via"settings" and then "video resolution" (anti-crenelling, post processing etc...). Which of the two is predominant and in which order should you work.
Should both be the same? I drive an RV.
    I7 7800X,RTX 2080 TI, RIFT CV1.
    Thank you.

@Adrianstealth Can you please update the first post? New VR users may well find this thread first and it indicates the rF2 beta should be used.

I would find it great that a user (Adrian or other) :

*Make a single post or thread gathering the majority of the tips/advice
    of this huge thread*

Indeed this thread is 100% in English, and has 2000 posts !!!

Unable to read in full for a non-English speaker.

it seems with new update and new VR IPD Scale feature with default 1.0 setting everything looks bigger in my Oculus CV1. Is it just me and maybe a placebo effect?

I reinstalled my pc on the weekend and now i have some strange behavior on my Rift and rF2:
    - even more longer loading times
    - On loading/ on things that normally lag a bit now the screen freezes with my headset view. This is not a good feeling when the menu/loading screen goes with the users view
    - in singleplayer press "r" for replay half the screen is black. When getting back in the car everything is fine.

    some tipps? :(

What is the best way to minimize car mouvement when using lock to horizon, I had to re-install my game and lost my previous settings.

I am, that is what I am referring to in my post as lock to horizon, but it is moving too much, even moving when braking or accelerating, like my head is moving, it was not like that before I had to erase and reinstall. About that stabilize horizon, there seem to be very little difference between high and low.

Turned head physics off? (not sure that even applies in VR, but anyway...)

Thank you, that was it. So yes, works in VR.:)
also now that this is off, I can see a difference from setting stabilize horizon low or high. I prefer high.
