I decided to start a new thread for the tool I started working on yesterday. Here is a video of what I have so far: I also want to define a Json file that admins can voluntarily drop into their packages folder and my tool will try to pick it up if they have it. In this Json it will contain stuff like a long server description, URLs to your rules page, live timing page, live video feed, web page, forum, points standings, schedule, ect ect. Then when double clicking on a server in my tool it will attempt to download this file and if it exists it will display all this extra info that isn't normally included in the MM. I am done messing with it for today. Tomorrow I will make the get content button work, then I will probably release something (beta).
Nice job Noel! Looking forward to it. The search while you type is very fast....are you searching in memory or directly from ISI's api? Cheers
Great idea Noel. A bit OT, but did you catch the news that Visual Studio Pro is now available for free as a "Community" edition? http://www.visualstudio.com/
I did see that but didn't read up on the limitations. I suspect it is basically the same as VS Express which has been available for free for years.
Noel, this is supposed to be the full-on Pro version. Not a repackaged Express. It is not free for enterprise use. Also, MS announced that they will be open sourcing NET (server, not client) and will collaborate with Xamarin (xamarin.com). I was shocked, but at the same time, I question their motives for doing so. https://github.com/dotnet/corefx
