    Hi Studio 397 :)

I am trying to create a mod with ModMgr from DatFile but I am getting the error below. The default MAS file is valid in the RFM property, I set the Track and Vehicle and all other properties but I am getting the error below.

Can you please help me figure out this issue? Thanks! :)

File location issue (Desktop), maybe try to create the file somewhere else?

Can you tell us more about what mod you are trying to make? And is it failing all the time, or?! Some steps to reproduce this would be welcome.

@ B1K3R is this the old "Mas2 crash"? that's been around for years.
If so then go to Users\name\appdata\roaming\ and search for "pkginfo.dat" just delete that file and Mas2 will work again.

    Hi Marcel, SmellySkidmark,

Thank you for your feedback! I figured out the problem and it works now :)

I was not setting the vehicle property as it should be.

    Hi @Marcel Offermans :)

I have one last issue and if we solve this, then it would be awesome!

    So basically I managed to:

    1. Create the mod with the exact components I want and then install the mod (as seen below)
    2. Then start the server using oneclick

So far so good. The only problem is that I cannot manage to specify the mod that will be downloaded by the user. It seems that it always takes the default installed mod which I had created and installed manually.

Ideally, when the user tries to join this server, the mod justrace.net#787 is downloaded and installed on his/her machine.

    Any ideas!? Thanks :)

What do you say is happening when a user is joining the server "justice.net#787" right now, I don't understand ?

What I am saying is that when I create and install a mod using modmgr and then start the server with oneclick, the mod downloaded by the user is not the one that was created but the first default mod that was installed manually.

Are you sure you are starting the server with fresh install mod and not with the first one the has been installed?

Just asking because when using the server manager from noel and forget to change there the mod to the newest one the server starts also with the first one that was installed.

    Hi mate :)

What I am doing is this:

    1. Create the rfmod, lets say 54394.rfmod
    2. Install the rfmod 54394.rfmod
    3. Create new profile, lets say 54394 and set the json files
    4. Start server with this command: "C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" +path=".." +oneclick +profile="54394"

Now how do I start the server with fresh install mod and not with the first one that has been installed??? Can I specify this somewhere?

The server starts properly with the car and track set in 54394.rfmod, but when I login into the server, the first installed mod is downloaded and installed.

    Thanks!

Yes, we have a default profile player, then we make a copy of it, change it accordingly and use it to start server

Uninstall the first in this case to see if it takes the 2nd

    Not error?(red) -> 4. Start server with this command: "C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" +path=".." +oneclick +profile="54394"

Yes this will be the case. But i guess Stefan wants to run more than one server at the same time :)

Why that is an error? The " should not be there?

And yes, we need to run as many rF2 servers as our server can cope with :)
