    That's the problem. Something is wrong with some vehicle string "VehicleName". Do you use some custom mod or rF2 core content? Try to use only track(s) and car(s) that come with rFactor2.
    Most probably some vehicle has non-ASCII characters in a name.

    I think there are non-ASCII characters somewhere in your rF content.

    Jesus Piña Garcia, now there is no error in log. But I don't know why it is not working for you.

    It's strange with version 2.1.019 it doesn't work, but with 2.058.24 it works perfect. With 2.1.09 the string error appears

    Jesus Piña Garcia, try attached file. Stop r2la. Unzip it into your rF2 Log Analyzer ver. 2.1.019\web2py\applications\r2la\private folder, overwrite existing file. Start r2la live timing. Tell me if it works or not.
    I can not test this, because I can not make rF2 to host dedi on my PC for some time.

    Do I copy the files from the private folder from 2.0.58 to 2.1.019?

    No. Download attached zip file in my previous message. Stop r2la. Unzip live_timing.py file into your rF2 Log Analyzer ver. 2.1.019\web2py\applications\r2la\private folder, overwrite existing file. Start r2la live timing. Tell me if it works or not.

    Hi Nibo,
    I've been following but can not get it werking either.
    I get this,
    LiveTiming process started...
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "D:\web2py_2.14.6/applications/r2la/private\live_timing.py", line 109, in <module>
    WindowsError: [Error 5] Access is denied

    Used above
    "try attached file. Stop r2la. Unzip it into your rF2 Log Analyzer ver. 2.1.019\web2py\applications\r2la\private folder, overwrite existing file. Start r2la live timing"

    Same result.
    (btw my file is "live_timing.pyc, not live_timing.py, edited but no change)

    I can view old standings, but not open them.
    The shared memory seems to load,
    "rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin64.dll":{
    " Enabled":1,
    "DebugISIInternals":0,
    "DebugOutputLevel":0,
    "DebugOutputSource":1,
    "DedicatedServerMapGlobally":1,
    "EnableDirectMemoryAccess":0,
    "EnableHWControlInput":1,
    "EnableRulesControlInput":0,
    "EnableWeatherControlInput":0,
    "UnsubscribedBuffersMask":160

    Go to the rF2 Setting a Server Guideline. https://docs.studio-397.com/users-guide/setting-up-a-dedicated-server. Look for configuring your Firewall section, it says which ports need to be open for rF2. You need to open different ports for Livetiming, increase by one the number or whatever you prefer. Follow this guideline. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/how-to-open-firewall-ports-in-windows-10,36451.html

    SmellySkidmark, something is preventing r2la from running, that's why you get "Access is denied" (looks like permissions thing). Maybe you need to launch r2la "as admin" (right click "Run as administrator"). Maybe that's your firewall or antivirus blocking r2la from operation.
    You have live_timing.pyc, because you use older version of r2la. Versions > 2.1.x have live_timing.py files. But that file will not help you, I was just looking if setting codec explicitly will help with non-latin symbols, apparently it did not.
    You can just download and try latest version from scratch.

    Nibo and is there a way for r2la to show the times of pilots who leave the session before it ends, for example if a pilot enters the server and sets a fast lap and leaves the server r2la does not show log times. But the time is in the file but they are not shown

    That's how rF2 xml logging works (or does not work). I can not do anything about that.

    If there is an xml where there is lap time data inside some <driver> tag (not inside <Stream> tag, that's unusable by r2la) and it is not shown by r2la, send that log to me.

    Yes @Nibo You are right, the times are within the stream and not in the driver
