Yeh, I found out about this in the last build DJC so it`s definitely been around since then...

Think it`s been around for a wee while though. :)

Fps is far better when there are many cars in sight. And the wipers seems to work when pressing w, except that the wiper anim is a bit bad (only tried it on the Clio).

I`d agree on this wajdi... I too seem to have slightly worse performance at Poznan with this build.

Not too much of a drop but definitely a drop...

Hmm, I have better performance with Poznan, but worse with Lime Rock
Every build is like a lottery..

Not tried LRP yet with this build but will have a look later.

On another point, has anybody else noticed a bit more jaggies with this build?

I`ve only done about an hours testing so far with b156 but the AA/jaggies seem to be a bit more prominent so far with this build...

I'm a little sad with ISI. if it's slow in progress at least they could tell us why or their plans.... I mean... we did pay for beta to improve the game. and I can't feel it. =(

I can remember when some got the clio 0.1 version and with it came a alternative malaysia circuit layout. why we don't have it? it was fine

When ISI start updating older content to the latest build then I think it's fairly safe to assume we're getting close to gold release

Think we'll start seeing older content getting updated over next couple of months & getting to gold or close to gold (gold=release ready) July / August for a summer to autumn release this year

    (Another 4 to 5 builds )

Of course this is just an educated guess & assuming ISI don't hit any big problems along the way

    Good times ahead I'm sure.

P.s there us nothing firm in this,
This is just the possible time frame in my own mind O-:

Have you ran your new installation (setup controller etc) maybe the player files are created after you've used rf2 for the 1st time, if you've done that then the files must be somewhere (maybe you can do a search for them in windows)

I lost my entire ''player'' folder in UserData, that include skins, setups, config, ...

    Thanks Build156

If the default selection of the installer for "Data and Settings Destination" pointed to your "Documents" for it´s an indication that you do not have write permission as normal user to that folder, thus UserData cannot be written, because that happens with restricted privileges.

The "Program Files" folder is a rights restricted folder under the protection of the UAC or User Account Control. The reason the default is to put the user folder outside the "Program Files" folder is to avoid issues with the UAC. Programs need an elevated level of control to write in folders that are protected by the UAC and so most programs are not able to modify information stored in those folders.

If you want to install rF2 all in the same folder, install in a folder created in the root of the drive, for example, C:\Games\rF2 or something like that.

Same here on HD 7990! I've updated to the latest AMD beta drivers (BETA 7) and went for a 5 minute run. It seemed fixed but I have to give it another try tommorow.
