I read somewhere that the coreshaders.mas file is now accessible ? Is that something you've been waiting for K Szczech ?? Can we expect some previews from you soon ?
So many contradicting posts about performance for this build, for my standard test I've been using since the start I'm getting around 11% drop in average fps compared to B90 but the big worry is the massive 36% drop in minimum fps. There's much more noticable 'fluttering' on the green graphics histogram ingame. Just as well I've got a new (well new to me, it's 2nd hand) video card that will offset this drop in performance. Was seriously thinking of totally blowing my budget and getting a GTX670, been holding off for ages waiting to see what Nvidia would bring to the up to GBP200 price point and now the realisation that the 660 is going to be pitched price and performance wise at the HD7950 I've got fed up of waiting.
I attempted to describe shadow issues I found in this post: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7014-Hard-to-reproduce-bugs
Ummm.... Sorry if this is dumb question and I am going to keep reading thread (on page 3 now...) but I installed and have only clio_PC and no tracks. I used full installer from drivingitalia's mirror after uninstalling rfactor and deleting both program and data folders. I am going to keep troubleshooting but if any ideas many thanks in advance...
Hummmm, for the first time ever I am experiencing stutters if that's a word. Performance is equal to 90.
really? in newest build? The rain worked in all previous builds. Edit: just checked and it works. So what is the problem?
By current design anyways. When you install, you have to also install the other cars and tracks or you won't see anything. Make sure you get the base versions plus any updates from the download thread on this forum. Install the rfmods, update the mods, then you should be good to go.
I know it's early, but so far I'm really really liking Build 101. I did a complete reinstall (like always) and it's running very very well. I think this build is a lot deeper than people realize. I'm sure everyone is thinking "still black mirrors? wtf?"...... If you can get beyond that, there are some really nice improvements: especially the replays. Really good job ISI
Felipe Massa? is that you? You don´t have to convince him, he´s not the real Max Mosley! Remember, this is just a simulation. FIA has nothing on you! Go to Race Settings and set your weather script to rain. Don´t be afraid, you don´t have to pay for damage or loss of reputation, just hit escape! PS: all in fun but please elaborate your problem if you will. I have no issues with driving in the rain, or am I overlooking something?
Yes, if you do a complete uninstall and reinstall the FULL update. (Especially if you delete the Data folder.) If you just used the update .exe, then you wouldn't have to reinstall everything. That's 'kinda' their functionality by definition
Thank you! Works very well on my PC. FFB is great, contact to ground is better than before, CLIO makes a lot fun! You are on the right way. I also have pCARS, but there driving feels like a game and not like a Sim, so thumbs up for rF2! dest1ny49
true to me also, amen Scott! pCARS is fun too just because of the DX11. (my opinion) But RF2 does it for me, just like we knew it would. You have to play around and test different settings w your grafix card control panel, etc.
I have the really bad shadow flickering at Croft too. I cant really tell on other tracks but the trees are very badly flickering on Croft. Performance hasnt changed for me at all. If so, maybe 1-2FPS here and there, but its quite stable. It's weird that the ISI tracks now look awfully over-saturdated etc yet Sebring and Croft still look wonderful. Mills and Portugal hurt my eyes, dont know whats up with that. The only update to Mills i see are the bridge sponsors...
