I've done some research and the problem has occurred already but none of the suggested solutions worked for me. I just bought rfactor 2 and when I press the play button in steam it says "Launching" but then just goes back to the normal "play" button. I have an Intel I7 processor, 32 gb RAM and an Intel Xe Graphics card. I was thinking that the graphics card could be the problem but I refuse to believe that the game just won't start because of a less advanced graphics card. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall a few times, also tried to delete all the files in the process. Next I also tried to run the runtimes in the support/runtimes file but this also didn't work so I'm getting out of ideas to make the game start. Anybody that can help me or is it really because of the graphics card?
I doubt the graphics card will fit your / rF2 needs, but you can launch graphic configuration through rF2 steam menu before launching rF2 and have a look if that will work and recognize the GPU. Also ... there are always minimum recommendations and requirements for an application ...
