    As mentioned by Scott yesterday...

This thread will be closed at some point before the next shots are posted so some kind of chronological order can be kept on the updates.

    Nice, especially the trees.
I assume the 'Second pass' concerns track model, track objects and textures and not lighting and such?

Yes, the 'second pass' is purely art related, as well as updating material settings to make use of anything new that was developed since the track's 'first pass'. That's about as close as the pass gets to the lighting stuff :) .

So how artist may work on the scene without possibility to see how it will look after applying lighting/shading?

Every picture I see I have more desire to fly in rFactor2. It is graphically beautiful.

You create a track with consistent lighting in all areas and then the light sources you add (or remove) should do most of this. Same with all games really.

I´d like to add, the bushes and trees look great on these pictures.
No weird transparancy issues, as far as i can tell :)

I don't know if the tranparent textures are being done in the same way that for RF1, but I'm very sure they appear way better now! Bushes & Trees are much more convincent at these SS.

Even though I'm not interested in go-karts, I think these screenshots look really good and I'm looking forward to trying an advanced rTrainer on this track. ;)

when i watched those screenshots i've got question, focus for tv cameras? from-to distance - is it possible to put it into rF2? no the mipbias thing for textures but the focus, like in cameras

You're referring to depth of field post effect. It is PLANNED, yes, along with HDR and bloom...
