rFactor 2 Online Tools by Chris “redapg”

Just as an Information: i switched the php Version on the Online Tools Server from 8.4 to 8.5.

I hope that no Problems will appear, but if you experience something strange or not working as before, please, as always, inform me here. :)

Thank you all for still using my Tools.

Chris,
used the Tool yesterday to create an engine file. Worked fine with no problems. Thanks for further improvements in supporting Rf2.

Not sure if it is just me, but is the conversions down? I was attempting to do "Get suspension data for the rF2 Physics Calculator from a rF1 HDV and PM file". After uploading the .pm, the site just blanks. I also tried the rF1 to rF2 conversion, but that did the same thing when loading the .tgm page.

In such Cases, the Problem in 99 % is missing Data in the *.pm File.
In newer php Versions, it "stops" the Script, when a Calculation shall be devide by 0 or by nothing (empty Values, because it was not present in the *.pm File.
I suspect that your uploaded *.pm File has something else than a double Wishbone Geometry at the Rear, right?

In the Conversion Script it normally should work, because i added a kind of automatted Routine, that, if the necessary Data is not there, creates it.

The Best would be, if you would send me the Files that you did upload in both Tools (were it the same Files?).
Then i can check what exactly the Problem is and maybe add an automatted Routine, to fix it.

But in any Way, thank you for reporting the Issue. :)

Due to a Communication, based on THIS Thread, i've made a kind of Tutorial about alternative Skins and how to get them into the Game and a few Tips about Problems and how they can be solved.

It's for sure not complete, because it was the first Time that i worked with such "alt"-Skins and every Feedback is welcome.

Here is a direct Link to download the pdf File: Download

Just as an Information: @tmansteve , as someone who speaks English naturally, was so kind to revise my "Tutorial" (thank you for that :)) about how to get alternative Skins into the Game and the updated Version can be downloaded now (the Link in my above Post is updated too).

Download

Another "just as an Information": Due to uploading the last pdf File and intregrating it into my Download-Structure, i noticed that some of the Downloads still use the old Download-Structure, where i had to change every Link, wherever it was posted, if e.g. an Update was available.

I modified it now, that, if you click such an old Link, the Download Site will open and ask you to click the new Link.
In that Way, all old Links should still work and i also can use my new Structure for them.

If you encounter any Problems when downloading, please, as always, report it here, that i can check and fix it.
Thank you :)

That is such a thoughtful, kind, and generous action in these days of internet bit-rot. Thank you very much!

Hi Chris, I'm getting a 404 error when I click on the link in your post #570... I click on the original message link and get the click on new link message, i do so and then it 404's me. The new link hyperlink has this address.... http://meetme.bplaced.net/rF2_onlineTools/rF2GGeninfo/tuts/zipdldivTEST.php?file=32 which then 404's me. If i remove the TEST bit from the address it all works. ie this works http://meetme.bplaced.net/rF2_onlineTools/rF2GGeninfo/tuts/zipdldiv.php?file=32

@Goanna Thank you for reporting.
As the File Name says, it was my Test File.
And when the Tests were done, i renamed the File, but forgot to adapt the Name for the generated Link inside of the File too.
It's fixed now. :)
