Open Steam Client and log in:

From the top menu select "Games"

In the dropdown select "Activate a product on Steam"

Follow the instructions in the pop up window and put in the your code when it tell you to.

Once finished you should see rFactor 2 in your Steam Library.

Is there a guide to the workshop?

I got the game installed but every time I try and run it always says downloading xx items from the workshop.
How can I see if it's downloading or stalled?

I've been here for an hour or more.

Are you seeing a download progress bar?

This is a bug that happens randomly for no obvious reason, happened once to me as well many months ago. I reckon I needed to re-install the game from Steam to eventually get rid of it.

It seems to be working now after restarting PC and Steam, it seemed to update something and the when I launched the game the bars came up.

It's weird - My CS:GO workshop items did the same thing, until I unsubscribed to these items. Ironically my rFactor 2 Workshop items are without hitches, and they work perfectly.

So it seems like a Steam issue to me.

You might be able to add rF2 to your steam library (but not install).

Then go to Image Space's workshop and press unsub on all the addons. Then try and install and it might just install the lite bit?

Is there a way to do the opposite, mine wasn't subscribed to any addons tracks or cars.
I only want to install the official ones to start with but I can't remember what was in the original if that makes any sense.

I see they're downloaded and are in the cache folder.

To do the opposite is the way that the steam version works right now.

Try upgrading Nvidia drivers? Current version is 365.10.

Your question has been answered in the other thread by Christopher Elliot.... how about not doubling up on the posts?
