Many thanks for the Update, testing now. Just a small point, pls implement in next version right click for install, uninstall and delete.
Ah, there it is. Good thing the Mod Manager is still around. So much more functionality than what is in the launcher. I see how for the average user it might be confusing having to deal with Mod Manager, but as an advanced user and admin I'd appreciate having back a shortcut to Mod Manager on the launcher. Thanks.
Well, now the evil's CPU spikes have disappeared. I'm able to drive with all in "full" with good FPS and without freeze. Build 946, best way to say "adios" to the family
I did a clean install of rF2 b946. I set the launcher to close once I load the game. When I fire up single player, the launcher crashed. The game was fine as the .exe was triggered but the launcher itself crashed.
The launcher always closes when you load the game so I don't think you need to use that setting anymore. From quick testing this looks like the biggest improvement in a while. If all the CPU usage and virtual team issues are solved as well it's the best build ever released lol.
thanks for update auto update worked fine just one thing! cant see tracks or cars missing in rfmod. important tool to know what I'm missing. View attachment 16263 View attachment 16264
auto update worked fine. had a fps gain so could get reflections back in.... Still reflections on low but looks really really good imho Thanks ISI really nice easter present
auto update worked fine everything else i downloaded works fine too. quick ? should i activate multithreading ? and what are the benefits ? HAPPY EASTER
Paul, the multi-threaded physics just means it's spread across multiple threads. It's part of what caused the CPU usage bug for some people/setups. There is no way in a million years they'd have actually different physics outcomes based on a configuration setting - it wouldn't make any sense. I also think (from reading the relevant thread) this was at least partly to do with handling the AI physics.
All updatded fine as usual, New tonemapping may have effected in car view of APEX gt3 mod. like looking thru slightly tinted windows ?? not evident in GTO , Personally noticed a minor FPS drop at malaysia(tested prior and after new build/track install) but that may well be my card struggling
Still getting black screen... Freezing up when entered server all comes good or restart needed. Will put up with it for now. FPS seems worse. Other than that all good so far.
Sorry this is a really simple question but I am still learning RF2 ... in the last build there was an option on the settings screen of the mod launcher to change your data path this was the path to where your packages were installed I can't find that on this build any help locating this or how you would do this now would be great thanks
Click local content... At the bottom of the window you will see a combo box with the list of your various paths... it has a + and - button to the left to both add or remove paths
Thanks but I thought that was the packages directory ie where the game looks for packages to install from I am looking for where it installs them to which may not be where the core files are installed Hope this makes sense ?
