Nope, I think HDR profiles are pretty much forgotten by ISI now, they focus on automation only now. Automation achieves too low contrast in some situation (Interlagos daytime hours) and too high in others (tracks with big trees). It's also because of how rF2 trees work (billboard trees), once sun is behind them no light will reflect through, so trees will always look too black. Hence it's very difficult to make trees with right colors, I noticed this when I was making track conversion. Just one of many issues with current HDR.
I typically like to come into the forum, read post about every new build to gauge how guys feel about it. I think it's safe to say this one isn't going over as well as previous builds, based on the feedback. Not sure if things simply got missed during testing but it seems to have introduced a few more issues. I've now heard complaints from guys who almost never complain. I've had a few, which has curtailed my running until another build is released.
I thought custom, track-specific HDR profiles were going to be a huge thing. I thought we were going to have custom profiles all over the place for download. Sad to say that I was - so far - wrong about that. Maybe it's due to how complex it is to set-up. I tried playing around with HDR in devmode once, some pretty complex and technical stuff going on.
I for one couldn't be happier that automated HDR was implemented. It still needs a lot of tweaking and refinement, but I absolutely hated having to manage so many different HDR profiles. So messy, one profile only working for one specific track at one specific time of day with one specific kind of weather. I totally get why some think it's interesting to have specific profiles like that. But that stuff is not for me, that's for sure.
Ya, too complex/difficult to get one working good for every time of the day and every type of weather condition.
I hope it is progressing well. I am looking forward to the next heavyweight car, especially because of the tires on it.
Yes. Also, a little cloud appears behind opponent's cars if not in HDR mode. In HDR, I get full screen black frame flashes at any time.
Two question: First i still want know about that. Please anyone can help doubt about one tip. On rFactor 1 i can use the full mirror, i can see on my mirrors, the back of car, like rear wing and other parts of the car. But on rFactor 2 i can't found any options like that? i remember i edit on plr file, but here can found any options like that on my playser.json file. Exist? Really would like Second question the exhaust of cars are some bug. These happen now with 880 build. I can't fixet. Someone can help? View attachment 14829
For the mirror digit multiple times key 3 in the main keyboard until you get the mirrors combo that you want. For the heat haze bug i am not 100% sure, but i think that the issue happens only with HDR off.
Turn HDR on, or change the Heat FX Fade Speed to :0 in your JSON. He's talking about which parts of the car are visible, not what mirrors are on.
Yes, i want full mirror where i can see all back of the car. rF1 have that option. And about FX i go try.
"Self In Cockpit Rearview":0, "Self In Cockpit Rearview#":"add values for any that should be visible (0=none): 1=rear wing & wheels, 2=body & susp, 4=cockpit, 8=steering wheel (15=all)" Thats the line your looking for Mcleo
