NEWS ITEM: http://rfactor.net/web/2014/10/31/rfactor-2-build-880-now-available/ New SDK, don't forget to update that for modding. New Demo, now the FR35 2014 and C6R again, with Silverstone. Build notes: There has been a couple of reports of what we consider minor issues (crash on exit). We would appreciate any reports you can give on this as there are not enough examples in the internal testing group (and wouldn't be in the unstable group). Multiplayer sessions, that is.
Cool, nice to see stuff about the tyre model, ttool, AI physics, etc. in there. I'll wait for the "official" build notes and auto-update availability before updating. Even if not everything in the beta-builds leading up to b880 is included in b880, it's still nice to see that this stuff is in development.
Edit - Installed lite overtop 860 and all seems good. Definitely notice louder spotter and with different voice. Did several laps with 60s F3 at Zanvoort. Don't notice any change in tire feel yet. More later...
Turn down the spotter after you install this and before you enter a session or you'll get blasted out of your seat.
Lolol ohhh, ya "blasted out of your seat" reminded me of something I'd say myself, lol, and it's so true, man, every once in a while you get some random youtube video with terrible quality and distortion and insanely loud volume and it almost does blast you out of your seat, lol.
+1 Wasn't expecting a new update but was needed already imo, so thanks Will read reports before installing though...
And the rain/water reflection issues? I will wait for a clear change log, because when reading it and see : "Not sure the contact patch is included", worried me again in the management of the change between build. No so serious to read that in a delivery note !!! So Tim, please, consolidate the change log, check if the Update is possible from game and come back to us with a serious announcement. We are not in beta test (you repeat it several times), so we need clear and serious delivery of your product before we decide to update our games without any risk to fail our planed races . Your product is in use, so you will deliver it on clear and good condition for your customers Happy there is a new build, but need to know what is in it securely before deploying it in league conditions.
Tim mentioned that the change log is not official and not in offical media available. I see it as a pre Information for us here and I appreciate this. He mentioned also that he will post the confirmed change log soon as he has the dev confirmation. I got your point and respect it. Personally I prefer to have a update with a vague change log instead no update But as always different people = different opinions
I agree, that's why I wait for the official update , no problem, I'm happy to get an update too, but I need to know the details in the box before use it , It's Halloween, so I'm frightened to see what is in the box before open it
