SO what's the general concensus guys. I've yet to update. Will be doing a clean, new install. Go for 64-bit or 32-bit? The 64-bit is still considered testing phase while the 32-bit is the only official public release correct?
I'm planning on doing a mega benchmark comparing every combination of the following: single screen, triple screen (Surround), single GPU, dual GPU (SLI), 2D, and 3D (3D Vision), and there is no way in hell i'm going to do all those benchmarks on the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. One or the other lol.
Which one seems to be working better / less buggy?
Thanks a lot. We caught an issue we would not have seen without you, that we'll have to address next build. Nobody thinks of saving their credentials, good on you for doing so.Replied.
Also, just in case.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/njgcwx3malg87oi/rFactor2.zip
Same p/w as I've emailed you already.
We might have to put out another short term release to fix that issue even though currently you are the only reported case with that specific issue. It COULD affect many others.

Not that I'm aware, no... But if it is, I did.Is this the same corruption that hit loads of people in build 660? Same thing happened to me and I offered up the corrupted file, you must have missed it
Btw used auto update and all is good so far, offline and online. Great build, real road and tyres are very interesting so far![]()
Tire model? Not that I'm aware of.is there any changes to the tires in this build?
I create two batch files to swap between 32 and 64 bits versions.
copy files to your rfactor2 folder
Edit files with notepad and change the line in both files:
Code:set rFactor2Folder= "D:\rFactor2"
Set your rFactor2 path
For first time your rFactor2.exe must be 32bits version and run "Run_64version.bat" to create the backup files of 32 bits version.
"Run_32version.bat" to set 32Bits mode
"Run_64version.bat" to set 64bits mode

I thin kit's him giving his credentials that allowed us to see the problem. Awesome that he kept them after swapping them out.Hmm good to know. I have my credentials backed up too but didn't need to use this. I do have the occasional "rF2 Stopped Working" once I exit the game and am back on the Launcher, since b660 with reasonable frequency.
Hey guys,
FYI, I did a clean install and ported over my packages folder contents and was up and running very quickly.... YAY... No problems as of yet.
Quick question, does the auto-update merge the contents of your old player.ini & multiplayer.ini contents into the new json formatted files or is it just default settings?
I belong to a club that is heavily into league events but half of our members are somewhat technology limited. Just looking to see what's ahead for those choosing to use the auto-updater.
Thanks.
It SHOULD copy everything, but if it fails, you can open player.bak in notepad, and player.json and check them if you don't feel something is right.Hey Tim, have noticed a lot of responses to steering torque but my question seems to have fallen fall thru the cracks. Would really appreciated some info on this.
Thank You.
