It is possible, but you have to find the config.ini for devmode to enable hdr. The location of the file depends on the folder where rF2 core is installed.
My core folder is "C:\rFactor2" and the config.ini for devmode is stored inside this folder (standard users have full write permission to this folder).
The default path (C:\program files (x86)\rFactor2) is write protected for standard users. In this case you will find the config.ini at "C:\Users\WindowsUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\rFactor2".

Thanks for reply Tosch ;) My core folder is "E:\rFactor2" (OS installed on C:)..I tried to search on my AppData folder but I dont have the config.ini file in it. Do you know the path if rfactor is installed on a different letter?

It should be in "E:\rFactor2" then.

Ok, i found it :) Now I've set this 2 parameters like that :

UsePostFX=1
UseHDRProcess=1

Nice :)

One more thing. Every time you change something in the "Video RES" tab in devmode, hdr will be disabled and you have to go back to the config.ini to activate hdr again.

UsePostFX=1 is not needed for hdr. This entry enables FXAA.

Tim, I was wondering, is there any news on the Marussia front concerning Kers? In other words, is there going to be a 2013 car? (Also for DTM cars, or some other class which use a 'push-to-pass' system)

A Thanks, we ran a 2 hour at Silverstone in Megans last night, after 2 hours in RF1 my used by date has well and truly past yet last night I could have driven 2 more in RF2.

My screen "shimmer" is fixed now with 300 and when close to other cars it's perfect, that's all I really wanted (apart from 3 screens) ...it was brilliant and just so different/better than RF1 for many reasons..a very enjoyable little game now..A happy customers (from not being a happy boy) update report...Ah and to rejoin in race..great stuff

One narky problem is I can't change my name anymore I want ora-pits yet all it shows is Your-player-name or something like that, since only others see that I'm not losing sleep over it.

Well done to whoever did this game.

sun occlusion not working...really? Finally when I have hardware to enable all :p

alt+tab crashes.

shadow drawing problems.

glowing hdr profiles.

Recently I've been more irritated than happy. Happy part comes mainly because I could turn my settings up quite a bit after getting a new pc and the driving experience is still very good. But I'm hoping to get more stable platform above anything else atm.

Can you guys see the rain in night? It's very weird here, can't see it from the cockpit view and bonnet cam but the rain appears for 3-4 sec and then disappears again.

Well, I guess... nobody drives in rain......at night.....then...:(

I tried 8 PM in storm and only see rain when I was standing in my grid. As soon as race started I didn't saw rain anymore. Rain wasn't visible in the replay either. Track was Mores.

Weird.

Not sure if covered in 20 pages here but has anyone seen or reported losing ability to press esc key to get back to garage while online? This has happened to me twice and only way to exit the game or regain control is to restart weekend.
