rFactor 2 Build 1080 Now Available!

I found just something very strange...

First, my B1080 is a complete fresh install, removed all folder & files before installing.

On the last weekend i tested 2 tracks with rain conditions. Today i installed a new track and fired it up. With all sessions sunny, no rain.

Thats the result:

I restarted rF2 twice, but nothing changed, track keeps wet. Is it a bug or a feature? ;)

//Edit: LOL...after some more investigation...it seems to be track related. But how can this happen? Btw its the new Barber Motorsportpark 2015.

//Edit: its an issue with a realroad file from the track.

I'd prefer to completely get rid of LDR mode, even the .ini-parameter.
Why? Because i've seen many players which are using "HDR off" in endurance/night races to get a much better visibility. I for myself see this as an exploit, because you get an advantage in visibility comparing to players with HDR enabled.

And what's the answer on typical questions regarding night racing (e.g "my headlights are weak" or "it's all too dark")? The common answer is "Turn off HDR". I hate it, because it's not an acceptable solution. LDR should be unavailable, so users can't use it as a "nightvision-exploit". And the argument with "bad HDR performance" isn't an excuse anymore since a few builds, because the performance drop is negligible.
This can be applied to shadows as well in several tracks with trees by the track. According to your reasoning, switching shadows off should be disabled in order not to gain advantage.

It looks like realroad has carried over from previous rainy session (AFAIK realroad contains the road wetness information as well). In that menu screenshot it shows you are using a preset realroad, try using another.

Seems to be a realroad file from this track. Switching to script weather let it disappearing. Thanks!

//Edit: its GP_START1.RRBIN wich let the wet track appear.

Had the same problem, solved it copying .wet of another track to this track folder.

Cheers.

Is anybody else having problems with joining the servers since the introducing of Build 1080 ?

When i try to join a server (any server with 1080 build), and click on submit, i get the message ''Data transfer time out''.

I know about 5 people who have this same problem, so i guess there will be people here who have also faced this problem.

Some guy i know did a re-install Windows 10 to solve it, and it did not work out(for some other guy it did), so that is how desperate we are in finding a solution :P
btw: I am using Windows 7.

Nope. Not having any issues. Even new content download system works beautifully when getmod isn't there.

You should not have to open any "new" or any other ports than what are specified in Marrs steam guide.

Sorry for asking again, however I am still confused whether the problem regarding the Error Message "Invalid Password" or "Package Not Available" has to be fixed on my end, or is an issue from those specific servers that I can not join.

Thanks (I am new to rFactor2)

The reason why I am confused is that I thought that it is a problem from the servers but since I get the same error from the official ISI Server #3 I figured it might be a problem on my end.

Thanks (I am new to rFactor2)
